  • You were deff in the "Bear's Cage"!!!!!

  • "Good Night!" LOL

  • oh hells ya..love it when it is so close you can actually feel the air charge!

  • Amazing vid. You blokes have got some courage! Wish we got those lightning warnings in UK. We can get some bad strikes here, too, these days!

  • Wonderful lightning strikes. Always makes for a good storm.

  • Woweee...fellas..I love this awesome AWESOME video....especially with the many closeby CG-strikes and huge thunderclaps from the middle on that you captured from inside your nice car......that is the kind of video that make my mouth water all over...excellent footage of the incredible Tstorms you videotaped from THU 6/30/05.... that was 1 month, 1 day after my impressive 5/29/05-Tstorm videos...also on YouTube.

  • have you seen baseball size hail before?

  • Did you ever hear a snap just before the thunder in any thunderstorm?

  • wow thats my hometown

  • I can tell that was a Supercell Thunderstorm. I not sure if it was a classic, HP or a LP Supercell

  • canada is getting it too, the storms get more severe by the year

  • schnikies!! its that stuff that makes me want to be a meteorologist

  • Were those last strikes so close that the thunder was inaudible? Or was it because the GOON in the car with you was hollerin' so loud he drowned it out?

  • The one at 6:50 was the closest. The lightning and thunder were virtually simultaneous. It coudln't have hit more than 20 or 30 feet outside the car.

  • This is amazing!! I would love to go stormchasing in the States, call it a life's ambition. I live in England, our storms are becoming more intense with more tornados but there's nothing like those you have over there. How would I go about chasing?? Thankyou!!

  • We get those kind of storms every now and again here in Southeast Texas. I remember heading to work one day and we were driving through a heavy rain storm and as we were coming up to an a bolt of lightning hit on the blind side of the truck over the tree line. It literally made me jump out of my skin. If you want lightning come to southeast Texas and see one of our toad chokers. That footage was scary and amazing!

  • Muncie here, we get some decent ones but most of the time they seem to split us.

  • We are from Whiteland (approx. 20 mi south of Indy) we never get shit :p

  • If you check out my June 10, 2004 video, I went through New Whiteland that day, tracking two wall clouds with the occasional funnels.

What started me chasing in the first place (14 years ago), is I got tired of watching storms on radar that would be coming my way and ALWAYS weaken before getting to me... so I decided to go to the storm, rather than waiting for the storm to come to me :)

  • Nice footage, Randolph county always gets hit so hard :(

  • Actually, I grew up south of Monroe Central school, and never got anything over there until I moved to Muncie, then stuff started hitting there all the time... lol. Thanks for the comment!

  • when you say south of Monroe Central, do you mean like out in farmland by winchester or...? I have a ton of family out there.
