There's no point in lamenting on what you've done.

The point is that no matter what terrible thing you might be going through, you can get through it... and come out stronger because of it. It's not about lamenting. It's about empowerment and not giving up hope. Sadly a lot of kids do give up hope and commit suicide, like someone in my family did... that's why it's so important to me that people know they aren't alone.

I've had anorexia, and nearly died, and I have very recently recovered from cutting. It's not that fact that teenagers are going through it, it's the fact that they are major problems in our society. Also the girl that plays the cutter was actually a cutter when she was younger. The director was bullied as a kid and the asst director was abused. So this project was really special to a lot of people involved and that's why they came together to help me make it. Thank you! ♥

@DxMxAxR No, I actually wrote the song in 2010 but put away. I wrote it for the kids posting on sixbillionsecrets. The video is about their stories... and also my own. It's about being a teenager and feeling all alone. It was a sad ballad when I first wrote it. I changed it to be about hope and getting through it... I wanted a song about empowerment, so I changed the beat to be upbeat too. I'm really flattered just that you compared it Firework... but the message is different. ty!

Hey Benni, I can see what you're doing here and it's amazing. I support you all the way but I would honestly prefer if it was a ballad instead of a pop song. Making it a pop song kinda makes you look like a sell out, considering the fact that you did came from rebecca black's friday music video.

@TheDem0nlnside They were all actors, but the guy kicked out of his home actually is gay and was kicked out when he was younger. Also the girl that plays the cutter was actually a cutter when she was younger. The director was bullied as a kid and the asst director was abused. So this project was really special to a lot of people involved and that's why they came together to help me make it. Thank you! ♥

The video was really just another song to me, but reading some of these comments, I can't help but cry every time. I got the link to this song from Six Billion Secrets, which keeps me going, and, although I can never get my own story posted, the stories on there help me communicate with my friends better, so, in my opinion, great song and great video.

@iBullyMyTeachers Actually, there are 5 stories plus my own. The words on the screen are what people called me after I was in the Friday video. They morph into butterfly wings symbolizing that you can turn something terrible into something positive. The butterflies represent hope. It was originally a ballad, but I changed the beat to be uplifting. I'm sorry I'm not the greatest singer or the greatest dancer, but I thought it was important do some good with the attn from Friday.
