I just saw the movie today and was actually quite impressed. As you may guess, Spielberg took a lot of his own direction in the movie, but he did well with that part. However there were still a lot of parts that fit directly in with the comics to keep a fan like me grinning and happy. There were also a lot of little things he stuck in there, mostly near the beginning that only a fan would notice.
This was one of my favourite series when I was a child. The storyline was amazing and very intruiging. The characters were constantly growing during the series in term of personality. I have every episode on my laptop and I still watch these from time to time :)
@SilverGalford I never said they didn't. I just said that EVERY obsessed fan of ANYTHING does that. I've seen it with American cartoons and European cartoons as well.
@SilverGalford Yeah and some people think The Simpsons is the best show in existence. Some people think Code Lyoko is the best. Others think the best is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. What's your point?
Dutch and Flemish is almost the same, accept that Flemish is a dutch dialect. In Holland or the Netherlands and in Flanders (north side of Belgium) they speak dutch. In the south part of Belgium (and the biggest part of the capitol: Brussels) people speak French. Hergé, the writer of Tintin, lived in Brussels and spoke French. So Tintin was the original name of the famous reporter... The dutch name for Tintin was/is Kuifje.
@futurama145 Lol! I was always sure, that Belgian is kind of like a dialect of French (Wikipedia says, that there's no such a language as Belgian, Belgium has three official languages: Dutch, French and German)
this is the intro i was looking for with the background sounds auiting to the graphics. i dont know whether this is the intro for the season 1or 2 or 3 . but indeed the best 1.
@SM4RTJE the writer of Kuifje was belgian, he wrote the stories in french, not in dutch. and you call yourself smartje? you're not that smart, are you?
@SM4RTJE he wasn't Dutch, he was Belgian. Hergé spoke French, but lived in the Dutch-speaking part of Belgium. The original hero is called "Tintin", but these series were very big in Flanders and Holland.
This is just the best bloody cartoon ever. Seriously it is difficult to put into words the atmosphere each episode entails. I am extremely glad it was part of my childhood.
dont remeber the episode but when i was a kid the part about hte mummy in the open window scaried the shit outta me... made sure my window was closed every night and shat myself during thunderstorms XD hope im not the only one
Thankyou so much for posting! I've got the seires on DVD but they've changed the clips they show (the music's the same), and as I think everyone who's commented on this video would agree, you just can't do that!
coming back to watch, I now have to ask, where does 0:24 - 0:27 come from? I had watched the whole series a couple years ago but absolutely didn't recall seeing "that" at all
@AmazingJames1987 The clip of the two men should be the twins in Explorers on the Moon and the clip of the door closing is from an episode I probably havent seen.
@JoystickJunkie64 - yeah that's Thompson and Thomson (they were great in that story :D ), doesn't seem like anybody knows about those doors, maybe I'll just have to closely watch them all again or something - a lot of animated series use new animations all for the theme, but these are direct from the series, so somewhere, something's missing
@carrotstick24601 - those are slightly different, the design on them, both had a body coming together, the one from the cigars story it's the body of a pharaoh with his arms crossed holding something, the one in the intro the character's right hand is out and left hand holding whatever those things are called :P ~
Tintin and the Cigars of the Pharaoh ((1/5)) - video posted by neeraj2008, around 7-16 shows those doors closing
I used to have problems reading until my dad came up with the awsome idea to teach me through Kuifje! xD Of course, the fims had to be bought as well after that ;)
