@nashgasm Hey nash, the first time I saw this clip I nearly fell out of my chair; it is just way cool!!! My daughter plays mellophone in the Goshen High School band. I hope to get her over to campus this fall on a game day just to hang around campus. I understand tickets are very hard to come by, thanks to Brian Kelly. Go Irish!!!!

RE the music clips: when I was in the band, they told us that they'd rather we memorize the music, but we could carry it if we needed it. They believed in performing with the best quality in both marching precision and musicality. Fr. George never wrote rinky-dink arrangements; parts were always difficult. So when you're doing a complicated new show every week, they'd rather allow people to use a cheat sheet than risk performing a show that was less than 100% quality.

And to comment on the music clips comments as well, they ARE learning an entirely new show every week...whether or not they actually need the music, they could just be using it as a guide.

To all those that are mentioning the music clips, maybe perhaps that people have just recently joined the band and are still trying to memorize all the songs. But do all their homework. Cut them a little slack.
