  • Bill the Butcher. I got my first hog last week and your video was very informative. Thanks!

  • You're a great instructor Bill! Thanks for the knowledge.

  • The guy filming need to cut back on the smoking.

  • BBBBBBBBAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCCOOOOOOOOON!!! :D lol WILD BACON that is! :D Woot!

  • There everywhere in texas. Considered nuisance animals. Ps it would be easier to peel the skin off. Why didn't you split it open first....I think its waay easier

  • @songofthedamedtx Yeah I live SW of Houston and we go almost year round out to our Deer Lease and either hunt or trap hogs and we use a A Frame with a 1 ton electric wench to left them up and then split them and guy and then use a saws all to split then down the center. Works great! Must clean around 100+/- a year

  • What kind of knife would you prefer for this task?

  • I laughed at "beer goggles"

  • Thanks so much for the Great videos!

  • Thank you so much for doing those videos!!!

I reallz wanna get into hog hunting afer deer season is over!!!

So if I get one I will know how to dress it!!!

    Thank you very much!!!!!

  • Check out them titties!

  • Instead of trying to chop the hide off, it is easier and more efficient to "peel" it off. It also saves meat.

  • oh yeah and about the looks of that pig (I saw this on animal planet lol), they change their head shape and grow that thick fur and those nasty tusks right when they escape, that could even be a farm born sow that escaped when young and all those differences appeared within the growth of it in the wild...

  • that's some pretty nasty fur :s kinda ruins an appetite

  • Nice video. You are definitely making it harder than it needs to be... and although you dont care about the hide- you thrashed it! No footballs from that hog...

  • just an FYI, the trapper said it would dress out to 60lbs, meaning 60lbs after its dressed, not the live weight of the pig

  • This year my friends and I are going to hopefully take down a few deer - they won't field dress them so that responsibility falls on me. I just hope I do a good job

  • Thanks for this video - excellent presentation.

  • hawamier.com

  • Great video!

  • Geat video!

  • imagine gutting a human lol .. same thing really just a different taste.

  • @yabodmon I really hope you don't have a gun.

  • @murf69 lol , not yet but i am buying one in the new year..why arnt humans allowed to kill humans ? were mammals too arent we? mmmm cannabilism

  • Thanks for the videos! I've always wanted to learn how to do this.

  • send me some hog meat please

  • wow the camera man is breathing pretty hard. cold?

  • thats skinning not field dressing

  • excellent video and very helpful.

  • this guy does not like hair on his meat

  • the boar actually came to the us in the 1700 for people to use as like a domestic pig on the east coast but great video

  • i could use some wild pig meat for easter...if you have any?

  • #1 - START with a VERY sharp knife. The one he is using is obviously fitting that description!

  • Bacon dont have to go with eggs,if we dont want it too.

  • I tried this method tonight. Definitly kept everything much cleaner. Learned to stick with my trusty machette as I ain't too good with a saw. Also made the mistake of cutting the animal in two halves while hanging with a piece of metal stuck through the achiles. One half fell on the ground, the other, I managed to catch. But I did like you said, just washed it off and was fine. Thanks again for showing this. I've cleaned a lot of pigs but is fun changing things up.

  • I knew I wouldn't be able to lift her, and luckily I had ropes and pulleys on hand. made a two pulley system and that helped. The sow was a bit bloated so it was precarious gutting her. Recomend gutting before they bloat. Also half cut through that wrong joint before the tendon. Ended up just sawing the leg after, as recomended. Good learning experience.

  • Hohhh, that's a big one! or at least she would be down here. Interesting method

  • Thank you, I'm going hog hunting in Mendocino and Sonoma counties next week. This video will really come in handy.

  • Thank you so much for putting your videos out. It's nice that someone wants to share their knowledge without trying to make a buck off of it. You are one of the good guys.

  • you give us real world application Bill...thank you so much..... im still learning from your videos ...

  • Thanks for the videos. Work is almost nonexistent where I live, so I hunt a lot to feed my family and others. I am getting more meat off my wild game now. And I really appreciated your Cowpooling videos, we have a lot of wild cows out here in Hawaii. I wish I could shake your hand! Thanks again and Mahalo!

  • I think you do a great job at explaining and teaching people how to do it there self! keep it up!!
