Wow... old... not sure why someone posted this in a thread on the state of the union... but here I am and compelled to challenge you... don't believe it... try it... fill the left most two cube slots in your ice tray with hot tap water, fill the right most two cube slots with cold tap. Put it in the freezer. Check on it periodically. the hot water WILL freeze faster, I promise. Google specific gravity. There isn't an adult alive that hasn't learned about this. Most just seem to forget.
