  • i really like your technique when it come to removing the acrylic. and the finish product was sooo pretty

  • I@lynnberry I used to have a lady who did the same thing on my nails and they were beautiful just like your work (which is FANTASTIC). Unfortunately, she left the state. How can I find someone in Tucson, AZ who does this type of work? All I seem to find are the Asian shops and they never understand what I want!! Do you know of anyone if my area? do I just request sculptured pink & white acrylic nails? Thanks so much

  • hi hope you dont mind me asking has im new to acrylic but when you do a 2 week rebalance on a sculpted nail do i just do the regrowth area by the cuticle? then when its 4 weeks rebalace do i file the tip off and do the cuticle area i just want to get this clear in my head lol has im so confused lol

  • Really gorgeous!

  • u know what i got gel nails done at a salon that charged me 40.00 and the gel cracked the nest day do you think they did it wrong?

  • i love ur work

  • her nails look amazing great job

  • Awesome video! I'm still in course to learn Acrylics and we use the Entity brand, I see you are using it as well. I'm still having issues with the proper mix ratio ..

  • the nails of the person doing the nails look REAAALLLLY BAD no offense.

  • You do absolutely amazing work. I am going to take some pointers from this and try them out. Thanks for posting. They turned out beautiful.

  • hello hey what size or kind of drill bit is that .

=] oh and you love ur pink and whites.!

  • i have been trying to do my nails but i always do have the same exact problem, it always lift in just an hour or 5hours max then it will already look so shit.. what can i do to stop this problem, can you help me with it?? i hope you can.. thnx alot..

  • wow great job

  • what is the difference between a drill and an electric file? I thought you can use it both ways as long as you've got the right bit! pls shed some light on this lynnberry1972!

  • I Love your technique!! How long does it typically take you to do a full set of pink and white sculptured nails and how long does it take you to do a refill and balance? I'm a new nail tech and I'm trying to increase my speed.

  • Beautiful! And so darn fast! Can't wait until I can get that fast, lol. Gosh I have so many questions but I don't want to bombard you! :P

  • what kind of acrylic you use ? it looks really soft and easy to file off, here i use léchat and its hard as hell .

  • @choyxongzong Lechat specializes in gel. Try working with a company that specializes in acrylic and don't rely on your file, use your brush and get the nail close to net.

  • @lynnberry1972 btw lynn, what bit is that ? where do you get it . Its thinner than a normal under nail bit

  • Hi, What drill are u using? Love this video.

  • @niceenough123 No drill, that's an electric file. It is used for filing rather than drilling. The efile in the vid was my backup (Freebee) my Medicool 2000 was in for scheduled maintenance :-).

  • @lynnberry1972 Whats the drill/efile called u use to carve the smile line, How much was it to purchase x

  • nice job..

  • what kind if drill piece is that it looks like a tooth pick ive never seen one what is it called

  • looks painful,,,

do they do this to u at the salon?

  • @janeLuvsPierre If it hurts to get your nails done then get them done somewhere else. It should not hurt to get nail enhancements. Remember, you get what you pay for!

  • @lynnberry1972 how much was it.?

  • ...and i always thought you cannot do french white acrylics without tips...:")

  • @nailbits1 Sculpting is high end/old school. Tips were developed for people that struggle with sculpting. Tips have opened up the nail enhancement industry to a wider range of skill level, as intended.

  • Lynn nails are well sexy!!! More vids PLEASE!!! :-)

  • Good job and nice technique!!!

  • How do I do your online class?

  • So pretty...

  • After all my years (17) as a tech why have I not used my bit for all that work you just made look so darn simple? I have been using it under the nail only and I looove what you just did removing the old white with it. I will be trying that out tomorrow. BY the way this is a fantastic torture video LOL.

  • @sobeitbaby Thanks. I hope it helped.

  • @sobeitbaby

"darn"? where is that used at?

  • Is the UNC the only bit you use? I was trained using the Kupa 3000 with NSI a year ago but im afraid to use it. Your method seems easier and more controlled.

    Lovely nails BTW x

  • this is the most perfect video and set of pink and white nails i have ever seen in my life

  • Hi, you've convinced me to try an e file, i'm an old skool 20+ years nail tech, but you've just shown me there is no need to touch nail at all, so the damage we see daily are because of misuse of these tools. I've looked on ebay, and is there any pariculat voltage/power or whatever tech name that is best, and what is the bit, I've looked around, can't fine UNC, and they have different name, round, cone, toothpick, which do you use on here, as i'd on use E file for infils. Thankyou,

  • Comment removed

  • Hi, was meant to say, is there any particular voltage/power that is best, and what file size are you using, no one here as heard of UNC, ours all have names like those above.......sorry, just thought i better clarify question.

  • beautiful nails. i love your dappen dish gonna get me 1 of them!

  • im excited to use that drill bit now maybe it will help me a lot more with my smile line when I do my backfills =)

  • The drilling does not hurt if you have a qualified nail person.

  • To whoever asked, they have those electric nail files on ebay. I bought mine for less than 20 bucks

  • I love your work....huge fan from the florida keys...

  • Amazing! I wanted to ask you what kind of brand and pink color you use here?Thank you!

  • It's not a drill. The proper term is electric file or e-file. I do not recall the name but you can find them on Ebay for about $40.00. The bit is a UNC and you can get them at any reputable beauty supply house. I usually buy mine at trade shows.

  • Thank you so much

  • I know that you are busy but I would really like to know what drill bit you are using and where I can buy the drill

  • I love how you are doing this can you tell me where you purchased the drill and drill bit

  • OMG THIS IS SO, i WANT NAILS LIKE THAT ,OMG IS AMZING, YOU ARE A GREAT ARTIST, OMG!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great tech what drill bit did you use a carbide?

  • i want to get the same brush you are using on this video. can you give me the detail of it?

you are amazing by the way!!

  • I picked it up in Japan. It's made by BRS. Thank you!

  • amazing skills

  • haha i was doing my gf nails the other day and she said oh that looks so easy i should become a tech as ive seen mine done enough i reckon id be good at it..i said oh yeah ive seen brain surgery on tv a few times maybe ill take that up...silly girl

  • hi Lyn, i love your work!. I have a few questions that i'm dying to know. !) why do you use the Under Nail file to carve out the smile line? and do you use it to specifically cut out lifting as well? 2) Was that a rebalance on tips?. If it was a rebalance on a sculptured nail, wouldn't cutting out all that white acrylic weaken the nail?. I would love to hear from you because you make it all look so easy!

  • not painful..she was just removing the white tip...wish I could find someone near here that would do them that good. I am tired of jumping from one salon to the next! Then they always look at you like you are insane .

  • Hi, looove the the nails, the video is very helpfull, can you tell me the bits you used and the grit? thank you :)

  • where can i get the dehydrator is it the samething as primer

  • Had the pleasure to see your work at the 2008 ABA in Toronto, Great Job :)

  • Great Stuff Lynn, i'm a huge fan ......

  • Lynn- What drill bit do you use for your backfills?

Your nails are amazing as expected!

  • Ahh.. what crisp smiles!! "Nail techs" could learn a thing or two from you. I used to get my nails done in salons and when I asked for sculptures they looked baffled. After watching your vids and visiting your myspace, I decided to teach myself and now i have!!! I can do just about everything now, even sculptures! I saw your sculpture vid and you didn't to the "pinch" method, yet the nails are still so slim line, is there a certain way you fit your forms? What do you think of IBD?

  • what the hell? that lokks painfulll :S i mean.. those are not real nails are they?

  • Hell yeah it's painful, it's a torture video.....DUH!

  • Yep they're drilling into her skin!!!!!!!!! Rolls eyes.

  • I know... *rolls eyes as well* Though really its a credit to the tech if ignorant people think her nails look so good they are real *laughs*

  • @catarona you're an idiot, they're acrylic nails hahaha!! Why are you watching this vid if you don't even know what acrylics are?!

  • Is it hard to keep your own nails looking nice when your doing other peoples?

  • It sure is. ;)

  • I love pink and whites. They stand out so much better and they look gorgeous. Nice work.

  • I'm glad you like them, thanks.

  • Awesome work. Perfect Set

  • Thanks a bunch!

  • Lynn, you have a true gift for what you do!!!!! I know everyone says "practice makes perfect" but you have the talent to show for it!!

  • After 20 years of pushing acrylic around I still have to practice. LOL! But it sure has paid off in the competition arena.

  • Hi Lynn..I know you said that the file in the vid was a back up but can you please tell me the manufacturer and model..it looks like it does perfect work.

  • It's not the efile that makes it look perfect. I could do this with a Dremel that you buy at the hardware store.

The name brand is irrelevant, just pick one and practice, practice, practice.

So, unless one of the efile manufacturers wants to pay me to promote their product that's my standard answer.

  • Lynn your videos are great to watch. would love you to post some more. It's great to watch others.. you not only get inspired but you can pick up some great tips and techniques to try. Thanks again.

  • Thanks

  • awesome work

  • Thank you!

  • dear your video is very helpful thank you alot for the information

  • You are absolutely welcome. I am very happy that the video helped you. It is a method I have used for the last 20 years.

  • Comment removed

  • Tommorrow is a year since you are here with us. Thank you Lynn!

  • Time sure is flying. Your welcome!

  • I Can never get the pink and white acrylic right. i can't shape the white acrylic, you make it look so easy have you any advice? x

  • Practice and education.

  • Lynn, congratulations!!!! Job well done - you earned that 1st place!!!!

I am looking for a good e-file and am really diggin' this file and bits you use in this video. Would you tell me which manufacturer makes it and model? Also, who makes the bits? Thanks! I hope to see you in Dusseldorf soon.

  • The efile in the video was a freebee and is a backup. The best efile on the market is the Medicool Nailpro 2000. All my bits come from Atwood....Nothing but the best.

Hope to see you in Germany also.

    Thanks for the congrats.

  • sorry first bit, I have the others.

    Thanks :)

  • The first bit is an under the nail cleaner (UNC). Your welcome

  • great job! I have the same file myself, but can you tell me what bit you are useing?

  • yeesh.. using the electric file makes me nervous..

im a nail tech from Puerto Rico. i do backfills with a regular file. but i shorten the acrilic nail with the electric one... makes me nervous cuz ive been burned with that thing a few times when i got my nails done at a salon. THANK GOD I DO MY OWN NAILS :)

    ..YOU ROCK!

  • Yes, there are a lot of unskilled techs out there giving the efile a bad name. It shouldn't hurt to get your nails done and if it does find someone else. No burning, no ripping, no prying, no bleeding, no tearing, no $12.00 full sets and no $8.00 fills. Thanks.

  • I do my own also. I was sick of getting ripped apart at salons.

  • Lynn, great work a big fan of your, and great job on being #1. do you teach any classes would love to learn from the best.

  • Sorry, no classes yet. I hope to in the future though. Thanks.

  • when would be the best time to get your nails filled in i have had my done for over week and there growing now and u can see my real nail and i had one to fall off... also how many times can you fill it in...with out it looking bad, ???

  • Fill approximately every 2 weeks, depends on growth. For personal appearance purposes get the broken nail fixed asap. My costumers go indefinitely getting them filled, if your not happy with your nails after a few fills, you need to find a better qualified tech.

  • Wondering if you used regular top coat or UV b/c I used regular high shine tc and the nails usually turned yellow. Thanks.

  • Everyone should be using a UV protective top coat on pink and white.

  • what brand of nail powder o you use. By the way you did great jo on those nails

  • It could be any top product. Thanks for the compliment.

  • I am a nail tech from RI. My hat is off to you. Beautiful nails.

  • that one point bit ur using to cut off the white powder.

  • It's an Under the Nail Cleaner bit (UNC bit)

  • what kinda BIT is that ? is that the one that clean under nail ?

  • I meant all that filing? I love your nails! I have been getting my nails done for about 20 years now and is hard to find someone that does them the way you like them. My boyfriend tells me that I should Know by now how to do them myself because of how many times I get them done. LOL

    Very nice work!

  • Doesnt that hurt your nails?

  • Only if they're late for their appointment. ;)

  • lol

  • Very pretty. Good job!
