  • Morgan, the brindle dog, passed away on May 27th, 2011. She was a lab/boxer/chow mix and the smartest and sweetest dog ever. I miss her so very much and it makes me happy and sad to watch this video again. Zoey is now 8 and she has a harrier/foxhound sister named Nellie and they keep up the tradition.

  • @dfluker21 So sorry for your loss :o( What beautiful and sweet girls :o)

  • I give you credit for voluntarily taking in these dogs. I have a treeing walker in my rescue right now and don't get me wrong, I love her to death, but the barking.... oh my god, the barking... lol. Put her in a vehicle and she barks from point A to point B even if its a 2 hour drive. I just posted a video of her on my channel if you want to see it. Take care!

  • @LocalDogRescue Too funny! I played that and the boxer Zoe is the same name as my Walker Zoey and she heard the video and thought the computer was scolding her LOL! My hounds like to lay together in the dog bed and howl in each other's ears.

  • I just gotta get a Walker pup for my son!

  • loved your video! We have had our walker coon hound for about a month. she doesn't bark at people coming to the door. She Barks at us when she is upset, because we tell her no

  • My Treeing Walker Coonhound Harvey does that whenever anybody comes near our house.

  • I can't stop laughing!!! My walker, goes nuts when the mailman, Fedex and UPS even drive by the house. Yeah, that's the only drawback, zero road sense. You can yell at them all you want, they are extremely stubborn. BUT...she's great around Grandchildren, infants....She's actually been caught cleaning the kittens. Love the video!

  • This exactly what my Walker does to the UPS man.

  • I have two and a lab who is outnumbered but loves the hourd and vice versa my couch is ones and my bed is the other twos

  • I am glad you have all enjoyed the video. Hard to believe that was 3 years ago.

I have rescued another Walker (actually a beagle/walker mix) named Nellie and need to make a new video with both of the hounds.

Morgan, the brindle boxer/lab is doing well and just turned 11 in November.

They are very fast and have zero road and car sense. Unless you have a Walker in a secure, fenced area, it is always best to use a leash.

  • @dfluker21 We found that out the very first Mother's day we had her. My drummer let her off the leash to play with her and it took us the better part of an hour to catch her. It was scary, she was running across Rt. 24 and a Semi actually stopped and the driver tried to catch her too. My Wife was so upset, she thought the dog would surely be run over. The neighbor's youngest son called her and she went up to him immediately. OH YEAH....you need a fence.

  • Fastest damn dog I've ever owned too! We're so afraid he's gonna get in the highway. We have 500 acres and that sucker still finds the pavement! What a love bug. We found ours at the shelter too! He's a hound dog! LOL

  • i got one at the shelter..they say she is a beagle mx but looks a lot like a walker and has the flat feet..she is so sweet and smart too..i let her off the leash her first day home and she ran so fast and got on the road..now its just the leash..i never knew a dog could run that fast..be careful anyone who owns a walker..they are fast and can get on the road before you know it..shes ok though and i only take her on the leash now and wont let her out unless shes on it

  • coon hound ,,best dog Ive ever owned. One of the fastest aswell..love them.

  • I too found our walker "ANGEL", she too was a skeleton,..but also had a bullet hole. she was found in southern Indiana. I have been trying for four years to find the previous owner,..for one reason,...I wanna find out why the bullet hole,..then a little retribution for it and starving her!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hope you find that fucker and give him/her a whats comming

  • We found our coon hound 6 yrs ago. A walking skeleton. She looks like a walker but she has spots where her white is so we think she has blue tick in her too. She's by far the prettiest dog we have ever owned, but ohhh what a mouth. We love her.

  • LOL-- my bluetick crosses are just like that! The neighbors hate them because they get an earsplitting serenade when they drive down their driveway, I have to bring them inside!

  • Yes, "watch-coonhounds" ;-)

I have a new short with sound I will try to put up this week - then you can really hear the symphony!

  • Oh My! I feel so much better there are loud crazy coonhounds out there that bark at EVERYTHING that passes by like ours do.

  • Same here

  • Yes, she is very loud and when she does this with the mailman it is best to cover your ears. I am surprised she can't be heard five blocks away LOL

  • I really hope your walker isn't as loud as mine!!

  • Oh yay! I have a treeing walker coonhound.
