  • then why did he just stand there and get killed by the Mako cannon?

  • wrong music

  • Such beautiful music in this part!

  • Btw.... how did they move a giant 1,000 ton Canon again?

  • I don't like that Rufus died like this...

  • @BlazePyron

    he lived >_<

    hes in the movie

  • epic :)

  • rufus really knows the covering and falling down plan

  • i dunno...but i think rufus should've died...when i first played the game and saw this scene...wow...thats rufus...like a captain never abandon his ship...thats president for ya....

but nooo...square-enix decided to "revive" him in FFVII:AC...for the sake of fanservice...hell...might as well bring Aerith back as well...lol

  • RIP Rufus Shinra

    or so I thought...........

  • Man Diamond was the coolest weapon of them all, I was sad when he died.

  • man i dont know who to feel bad for the weapon or the man in the tower

  • LOL weapon got owned! but it's still sorta sad. he was doing wat was natural to him. ):

  • poor weapon it was just doing its job killing everything

  • poor weapon... the music fit perfectly imo :S

  • HAHA STUPID WAEPON!! ^^

  • Coolest looking weapon..

  • why use Aerith's or Aeris's theme for the Mako cannon/Diamond Weapon video clip?

  • i think its because it fits.....does it really need a reason???

  • oh...ok but not really its just that its abit random?

  • Whilst I'm open to constructive criticism, that I disagree with... Just because the majority of videos on this section have some sort of loud kick ass tune banging in the background, doesn't mean that a song such as this doesn't fit. If you'd actually think what it was Aeris stood for, you understand the reasoning behind it.

  • I thought about the story of the game too hard, and I realized how depressing the story really is... Now I'm depressed! damn my overactive mind!!!!!!!

  • ;D ;)

  • This brings back so many memories. I might have to play this game again...

  • yeah, how dare midgar defend itself

  • That wasn't fair on diamond weapon at all if it wasn't for shinra in the first place he wouldn't of even got killed! Basterds!

  • i remember thinking that 3:02 was the shit. Well you gotta admit. For that day, the graphics were way ahead of they're time in the 90's. It was the first time something that graphically advanced was seen in 1997. Well, besides computers that is. This is still no doubt a great game.

  • so is Diamondweapon the good guy or Midgar? i never played FFVII but im browsing on Ebay

  • Diamond Weapon was sorta a good guy, because (in my opinion) he thought the Sister Ray would hurt the planet, so he tried to stop it, in which he got himself killed.

  • Neither really, each is trying to save the planet but they are going about it the wrong way, Weapon is trying to destroy and Shinra is just reacting to it by using the life stream and taking more life from the planet.

  • In my opinion weapons are some kind of world defenders. They r maked by planet to protect herself?

  • The reason why Diamond Weapon attacked Midgar is the same reason why Sapphire Weapon attacked Junon: the large cluster of Jenova cells. As every member of SOLDIER is injected with them, a large amount in a small (relatively small) space would give of a large signal. Both weapons thought they were confronting Jenova, but both met their ends at the hands of the Sister Ray.

  • Nooo lol.. The planet's energy is mako right?? Weapons r mako defenders.. Midgar uses too much mako (reactors) so Diamond Wpn must destroy it - (for planet's survive)

    What ya' think?

  • I was under the impression that when the earth was in danger of being destroyed the weapons were summoned to basically cleanse the world of everything. The death puts energy back into the planet's system and any injuries to the planet can be healed. My god i'm a nerd.

  • Your not the only nerd hehe

  • Yup plus each weapon was designed for specific duties, like killing every living being, absorbing the souls and moving to a new planet.

  • lmao no you're not a nerd

you were just paying attention to the story

  • The Weapons do not exist to combat Jenova. They exist to combat ANY threat to the Planet. Shinra is obviously a threat to the continued existence of the Planet since it sucks out Lifestream to make energy. The Weapons were attacking anything that could be perceived as a threat. Mako reactors are a threat and Midgar was full of them. Junon, also being a large city, clearly also used a lot of Mako energy. It had nothing to do with SOLDIER or Jenova cells.

  • @CaptainKeef Yes I've noticed when You follow the Ultimate Weapon everywhere you would notice that the places he is stoping at has Mako Reacters Corol Midgar Idk if Fort Condor had a Reactor or not Nebel, all those places.

  • they were created by the ancients in order to save the planet from genova. they were the ones who sucessufuly defeated her 2000 years ago however sephiroth now controls them

  • i'm sorry i was wrong in the last part... sephiroth didn't control them however they were unable to attack him due to the mako barrier that surrounded the northern crater

  • Oh it's nothing ;)

  • Diamond Weapon fought for a good cause... Rest in peace, Diamond Weapon...

  • Only a Final Fantasy game could have such a cool scene with graphics this crappy.

  • Damn, Rufus is badass.

  • Amazing!

  • the music makes me cry !

  • the music makes me cry !

  • nice gmv well done 5 stars

  • ye, it fits!

nice video, wish could run the game on Win XP...

  • You should be able to...

Try right clicking the icon> properties> compatibility> Run in compatibilty mode for...

I'm currently running it on vista with no problems.

  • well said

  • OK.. I don't think Aerith's theme was the right song for background music here..
