sounds amazing but i would love to here the kit with no EQ. Taye are some of the best drum I ever heard or had the privlage to play you dont need all that eq to make these drums sing
@libirm I apologize, but I do not have this information. Let me see what I can do and get back to you. Which drummer's cymbals are you referring to, the first or second solo?
@MATTlovesDRUMS Sorry for the delay on this. Not sure if I ever got back to you on this. Dave used a 10"x8.5", 12"x9", 14"x11", 15"x12" rack toms, 14"x5" snare, and a 22"x18" kick.
Is it possible to make the bebop kit sound like this? Im interested in those drums because of the sizes but I don't really play bebop kind of music I play more rockish stuff and if I could make my drums sound like that I'd buy that set in no time! Thanks :)
Aside from the difference in shell depth, the StudioMaple BeBop uses the same exact shell specs as the standard StudioMaple, therefore you will get the same tonality that you hear here. Your only problem may be that smaller kick, the 18"x16". You may not be able to get that big rock sounding kick drum from that small of bass drum. It all depends though, you can do a lot in the studio. Mics and signal processors have a lot to do with the resulting sound.
man, i still have my taye birch rockpro, and i recently bought a used gms se kit, but man oh man how i wish i had gone with taye:( TAYE YOU WILL ALWAYS BE MY FAVE EVER!
@ChrisBakerDrummer Im just curious, how much did the javaburst cost for you, I'm highly interested in purchasing the stuido maple java burst 6 piece SM620J- JVB. I'd love to purcahse those drums and perhaps even become a future endorser of taye drums.
Very impressive sounding drums. I also realize it has a lot to do with where they were recorded and by what equipment. You definitely did these drums as much justice as possible, which is a mistake that most companies make. Not doing as much as they can as you have. The playing is also quite stellar. With so many drum choices out there, it's a really tough buying decision in this price segment, but you did your part!!
i play the rock pro line in jet black finish...as a versatile drummer, i will eventually want a studio maple kit...probably in the java burst finish or the golden amber finish...i love you, taye drums!

I have an old one of these.... the best I ever had. Hardware isn't great, but the drums make up for it big time. I am a Taye fan.
