Nobody cares about Carl Landry in dallas.... because he was OKAY. He was up an moving.

Now, if he had gone down, knocked out cold. Of COURSE there would have been more attention paid to him.

That depends. Loosing teeth from a elbow is certainly horrible (I had that experience) but you get an implant and your playing ability is not affected. You hurt your elbow on your shooting arm... different matter altogether. So, how to prioritize the injuries is very much a question of perspective.

Dirk is a superstar, and is the most important player on the 2nd best team in the West. Landry is a role player for a team that is fighting for a bottom seed. If both players get injured, who do you think should get more attention? Plus, Dirk shot the free throws left handed, which is super tough.

Mouthguards should be heavily encouraged, if not mandatory for all players.

At no point does the camera show Carl Landry's horrible injury. The announcers do not even mention it. Instead they show the stupid cut on Dirk's elbow. Absolutely ridiculous. Terrible broadcasting.
