Merlin...I am a Firefighter for 18 years. Thermite does exist. In fact it has been around for over 100 years. As far as a ground explosion, tons of burning jet fuels falling 60 floors through the elevator complex at the WTC can be called violent, as the firefighters reported, elevator doors blew off, but you get the same effect from other delayed oxygen fires. Ever see backdraft?

I recently watched all major network coverage of the first several hours of 9/11.

What's fascinating is that almost everything nutters harp on today is present in the first frenzied hour or so of reporting.

The 'bomb in the basement' is something that the network anchors themselves first mention, because they seem to expect that any attack would resemble the 1993 attack, the bombing in the underground parking garage.

But nutters being nutters, they can't separate speculation from reality.

The 90,000 liters of exploding jet fuel consumed approximately twelve floors of plastics, fabrics, petroleum products, chemical mixtures, wood, paper, etc. Structural steel softens at around 425C; the conflagration at the WTC exceeded 700C.

The collapse of the Towers was due to three factors: loss of strength due to the temperature of the fires, structural trauma from the impact of the airplanes, and loss of integrity due to distortion of the steel from the weight of higher floors.

What a mess of confusion! 90.000 liters of jetfuel is wrong, there was around 10.000 gallons of jetfuel on each plane hitting the towers, and that is around 45500 liters, not 90.000 liters. So, you just doubled it up..!

My comment didn't post, but I wanted to point out the man didn't ever say a bomb went off, he said an explosion. These are two very different things, you can't just assume they meant bomb just because they said explosion.

The man doesn't say a bomb is what exploded, he says an explosion. Big difference. I'm all for 911 truth, but don't put words into people's mouths that didn't say what you have typed in front of their faces. He said an explosion, period.. Very, very interesting. The black businessman who just escaped with his life states very clearly that there was an explosion which BLEW HIM BACK TO THE 8TH FLOOR. no amount of bodies hitting the pavement outside and going 'boom' can blow someone inside of a building up a stairwell. No amount of "steel cracking" can blow a person UP a stairwell. There really can be no explanation for this man saying that he was BLOWN BACK UP A STAIRWELL except for a bomb.
