I remember getting this game as a kid. Not many minutes later i felt like i had entered a new world. I remember the sorrow when I completed it for the first time. I still think of this game, and i am sad that no other games acomplish to reach the standarts of Mafia I.

About the only flaw in Mafia 1 was the almost frustrating difficulty level, but besides that, this game is near perfect. So much so that it was this game that made me watch The Godfather and Goodfellas and Scarface. It also made me want to buy one of those awesome Fedora Hats...

@mrcrow191 I'll never forget the steamboat assassination level and the airport level. That game proves that graphics do not make a game. Wow, as I'm typing I'm remember so many great levels. The night-time farm shootout, the rail-yard, abandoned prison, the gas station with the chef. Great game.

I just finished Mafia 2, and to be honest I still prefer Mafia. Yea, Mafia 2 is a vast improvement in gameplay, but I just like Mafia's story a lot better. Mafia 2's ending wasn't very satisfying for me. Though, on the other hand, I still think it's a good ending. Maybe I just wished it would be a happy ending. :P
