the great barrier reef is one of the most beautiful things Ive ever seen... definitely a must see if ur going to australia. Unfortunately I think its hard to do it justice on a video tho.

The GBR is not "an" organism, i.e., not singular. It is built by a massive number of corals, and contains a far more massive number of other organisms. Likewise, China is not the world's largest person ;-)

I am curious why you would want to go see it, if you feel that by doing so would pollute it and therefore lose it? Be a responsible diver and require those around you to do the same. We even go so far as to do our own "clean up days" and take care of the environment when boneheaded people party as the beach and leave their rash to end up in the water. Respect goes a long way in preserving that which is so beautiful.
