  • Everyone loves farha. he has a great attitude even when he is losing and he loves to gamble and 80% of the time his gambles pay off. I love watching him

  • "I check behind for deception and to trap, regardless of board texture. You're an idiot." -Phil Hellmuth.

  • Ummm, re the top rated comments I wonder how many people have done their research?

WSOP bracelets: Hellmuth 11, Farha 3. Career money: Hellmuth 4th, Farha nowhere to be found in the top 50.

  • who checks that flop? come on now.

  • Overall i think Hellmuth tries to get more and more action with that child behavior, but he should know better that will never improve his game. All that he obtain is to be called a whining kid or idiot and all that became close to the true.

  • @G3eseH naw he's just competitive. i defend phil hellmuth all the time just because he has haters. it's funny to me how craaaaaaazy people get just because they don't like his attitude that they say crazy things. he's nowhere near my personal favs but i'm nowhere near stupid enough to critique his game.

  • @DroppinKnowledge69 There are a lot of Pro's "near stupid enought" who criticise his game and attitude and are just to many, there are withim his friends and rivals and he knows they must be right about some aspects but his ego is to big and he hardly accept criticism. I think you personaly like that enviroment and all that atention who Phil search for. I personaly like THAT... AND his bad game when they meet together. I want to see him playing bad and subjective, i like then he taste that.

  • @G3eseH there pro's. your not. that's my point. i once was at a dinner with barry greenstein and got to pick his brain....trust me...professional poker players brains are on a whole nother frequency. TRUST me, you have no idea how wrong you are when you try to critisize these guys...no matter how well you try to form a argument that's a fact. i can't explain to an ignorant person how complex these guys think. there all genius...no matter how much you dislike philhellmuth he's a genius.

  • phil is a dbag but he did lose the min

  • 11 brecelets don't prove shit.. Hellmuth won those bracelets when people didn't know very well how to play the game.. but know with so many talented people hellmuth shows his real game, he is far from being a elite player.. GET REAL

  • @BballStarr3 lol... yeah. Just ask the pros, 11 bracelets mean nothing. Because in 2006 and 2007 no one knew how to play poker. He claimed 1.2 million in winnings on his taxes for 2010. How much did you claim?

  • Love the total idiots on youtube, "poker isnt a game for Phil Hellmuth" is this person so DENSE, i can only imagine light bends around this idiot. ALso..watching sammy farha win a few pots on Poker after Dark or HSP does not for one second mean hes won more money than Hellmuth. Get real people, because hes a pain in the arse doesnt mean hes not the best Hold em player of all time. He IS the best of all time. 11 bracelets proves this. ALL in HOLD EM.

  • never check/trap when u got AK and there is a flush draw on board

  • Well I wouldn't have called Farha an inferior player. Its not like Farha doesn't know what he's doing, just off the boat etc.. come on. I would show Farha more respect than that.

  • @therightstuff90731 This was in 2003 though. Farha is a great player.

  • Farma fav player true gambler lol exciting

  • I doesn't matter that he checked the flop farha is not going to fold and how can some of you people criticize hellmuth's play have ye had as much success as him in poker No

  • I think Farha is actually worse than Hellmuth at Hold'em, but obviously not nearly enough to be called an "idiot." One reason why I say that though is because Farha is a Pot Limit Omaha god, he really should stick with PLO since he's so much better at it than he is at NLHE.

  • @Artoo64 What do you mean he should "stick" with PLO? It the main event, he shouldn't go?

  • @tokyoluv01 Yeah but he plays Hold'em a lot outside of the main event, and I'm sure he plays it more than PLO, when he's clearly better at PLO.

  • wow you're a real fan of helmuth's style, cos you're a douchebag too

  • phil's the better overall player

  • hes just like that guy in the grand if people played properly id win every hand

  • maybe phil loses so much because he lets everyone draw for free. He's such a belleend.

  • phil "callstation" hellmuth :D

  • Phil is such a freakin' baby!!

  • what ever happen to sammy? I miss him on high stakes poker

  • Are there any videos on youtube containing Hellmuth where he isn't winging like a little bitch????

  • @adamjsable Nobody would like to see those videos, lol

  • farha is the man best poker player ive ever seen helmuth is just sore loser and bitches too much

  • pokers a changed game, QJ was a poor hand bac in the day

  • hahaahahha , now the farha will be the idiot from the northern europe : D , good it wasnt Q,10 off xD

  • @sadzumak : Farha is Lebanese.....and Phil Hellmuth knows that Sammy is no idiot.

  • he called 35 k dollars with qj. YES HE DID, QJ SUITED WTF IS WRONG WITH THAT????

  • @MrSmartComment: no problem with that, the only thing is that hellmuth didn´t bet on the flop

  • lol

  • He doesnt call Sammy an idiot or donkey, he knows he played it poorly and let him make his hand. Love to see him project his errors on other people, waaaaaaa

  • very bad check on the flop by hellmuth. what the hell was his concept there?

  • @audiosultan Old-school Hol'em pros like checking the flop, almost in the dark, no matter what, so the pot doesn't get too big, and the hand remains decent at an early or middle stage of a tournament. You can see they do it almost in the dark here. Don't worry for Hellmuth's strategy, he's a great player overall

  • i know hellmuth LOVES to check on the flop almost in the dark a lot of times... but sometimes i think it's just not the correct play

  • i dont see anything wrong calling a raise with QJ suited.. i mean if you want suited connectors why not picture cards? daniel negreanu would probably call that raise heads up with 10 - 7 suited.

  • I just got Free $600 using this Fulltilt poker Referral code POKERDEAL14

  • phil hellmuth acts exactly the same way 61/2yrs later

  • Comment removed

  • Hmm, why are there so many pros having the same name? Phil Ivey, Phil Laak and Phil Hellmuth...

  • this is exactly why phil sucks at cash games. Farha is playing that as a suited connector. If a queen or jack comes farha is folding to any significant raise, if he hits a good flop hes taking hellmuth and one of his ridiculous top 10 hands to value town.

  • Actually Sammy has won a lot more than Phil in cash games. But he has also lost a lot more than Phil, so he is way lower when it comes down to net earnings. Its not easy to win money off Phil. Sammy practically gives it to you. Phil is very good poker player but he doesn't gamble at all. Sammy is very versatile and opens up a lot more pots than Phil. I know most of you would prefer to play at a table with Sammy rather than Phil.

  • @sshakababy Id rather play with Phil cos I think he plays more solid poker. I would know when I'm behind. Whereas with Sammy it could be practically any two cards. Dwan is even worse!

  • Weak play anyway, if he felt Samhi had no flush then why did he play his top tair top kicked so passive.

  • Farha in sweats? he usually roles in style no?

  • farha inferior? I've seen him winning LOT more money than helmuth

  • phil is the 6 on the all time earnings list sam's not even in the top 50

  • yeah that's probably true but most of Helmuth earnings comes from picking on lower players, Sammy does also does that of course, but he plays with the best and take their money too, that's a different thing.

  • don't get me wrong i love sammy i'm just saying

  • Phil has won way more money then farha.

  • I think Norman was being ironic

  • I think he is talking from Hellmuth's perspective, everyone is inferior to him in Phil's mind

  • @julesickdrums Yeah ofcourse...Sammy has racked up 2.8 mil in tournaments and Helmuth is right at 12 million but your right...you prolly have seen Sammy win a LOT more money. Idiot.

  • @julesickdrums the commentator is being a smartass. Speaking from phil's point of view he's pretending that everyone in the world is inferior to phil.

  • @julesickdrums It's called sarcasm

  • @julesickdrums but phil has won more money the sam so dont know what u have seen

  • @julesickdrums lol yea what about the bracelets? ... idiot

  • @HitemupWhoshotya having won those bracelts didn't help him anything everytime he has appeared on live poker, everytime he gets on HSP he has been crushed by someone better, either they be new players or truly elite ones.

  • @julesickdrums i meant the money you get with your bracelets ... no way sam farha can compete with those cashes ...

  • @HitemupWhoshotya You're still not even close. Farha has made more in cash games then Hellmuth has. Most of Hellmuths money comes from endorsements. Hell, I don't even think Hellmuth is in the top 10 most winningest tournament players.

  • @JeeRaph how do you know that? you know of every single cash game that phil hellmuth has ever been in and every single cash game sam farha has been in and how much they're pulling in? why don't you tell me every single girl hughe heffner has had sex with while your at it. get the fuck outta here....

  • @julesickdrums sam farha is my personal favorite poker player ever...but your just speculating. hellmuth is a legend whether or not you want to accept it...fan boy.

  • @julesickdrums and if your referencing norman chad...clearly he's being sarcastic

  • Comictalent he does that cuz fahra is aggresive and normaly bets, but with 2 diamonds on the flop he's just beeing silly i must admit

  • for all the complaining he does, why on earth would he check that flop with top pair? it would've matter, bc sammy wasn't going anywhere but still

  • pot control nub sauce

  • why does fill always call ppl idiots ... idiot calls etc.... he wants "idiots" to call etc.. otherwise he will steal blinds and get no where.. phil is a fucking moron

  • @ILOVES3X He's always bragging, crying.. wow poker isnt a game for him

  • farha is very hard to play against. i'm not saying hellmuth should have escaped it, but he shouldn't be surprised that farha would call a big bet hoping for a flush or straight draw. farha's done much looser with larger amounts of his own money

  • isnt the problem with betting the flop that when the 3rd diamond comes on the turn he has to bet again anyway in case farha has 1 diamond, which would be more likely than him having 2 anyway (assuming farha checks again). so phil is still is going to put in 2 bets regardless. he might have saved a little with regard to the size of the bets.

  • Yeah You cant trap wit top pair phil.....and if the flop has connectors or suited cards bet the pot if it doesn't bet half the pot those are the rules.................bad play by philhellmuth

  • its looks like its not 2003 but 1903

  • What the heck is the commentator talking there about in the end when he says an "inferior player" refering to farha?

  • i think hes being sacarstic...

  • hes been sarcastic takin the piss out of hellmuth

  • From Phil's point of view he is inferior, that's what Chad means.

Farha had won 1 bracelet in 1996, while Hellmuth had won 2 already at this 2003 WSOP

  • no matter wat. even if phil bets the flop. sammys not going any where with a flush draw and an inside straight draw... he actually saved sum money by not betting the flop

  • Still Phil had to call on the turn so he lost money anyhow. I'd say he should bet on flop and get some information from Farha. Farha would probably take a call and when the turn's a diamond, then it would be a lot easier to fold AK when Farha are doing his next move.

  • 0:10 - farha look stoned =D

  • phil is stupid, top pair with a draw on the board, he should have made an over bet. why give anyone a free card when thers a draw on the board, specially on the flop!

  • that is exactly, what i thought. he played it so bad and than complaines about a player, who called 35000 with suited QJ. he saw his error and blaimes others. if you give free cards, you have to deal with it, phil

  • i like sam

  • He played QJs probably after a 3-bet out of position. I'm not David Gray, but this is so sick.

  • "inferior player" ???? In yer fkin dreams ... Sammy is the best, at least in cash games Phil doesn't stand a chance.

  • The besta at cash games?? In hold'em?? Oh boy... I like Sammy, I love Sammy's play but in hold'em Sam is a fish. Aswell as Hellmuth.

Sam is the best in PLO cash games, specially shorthanded.

  • Is Phil Hellmuth a fish in Hold'em? lol@BurgeMeesterFans... -.-

  • In cash games, YES. No doubt.

  • I do not agree.. And in my opinion, Hold'em is one of Sammys best games, better than PLO.

  • Can't believe Norman Chad Called Farha an inferior player...crazy

  • I was thinking the exact same thing

  • it was sarcasm

  • Always fun watching an '03 WSOP video. Everything is almost primitive in its first-timeness; the announcers call deuces "twos", the poker talk is much more businesslike and less "turn is OH! a diamond!", and the graphics only give one percentage. It's like watching baseball from the '70s or something.

And then there's Phil Hellmuth bitching, the one constant in televised poker. Nice to see some things don't change.

  • The primary reason Phil Hellmuth is such a poor player is that he doesnt like relinquishing control of a hand when he makes a move and bets out. Its the best time to call him. Whether he raises or re-raises you, if you call him and hit it, he will continue to bet and make moves. Regardless if he hits it or not. And of course if you dont like the action you can get out of the way after the flop if you dont hit it. Phils not very smart. And his ego is even worse a handicap for him.

  • Welll I have to disagree!!! He has won 11 bracelets!! And he has the greatest record amount of $ won in wsop... so I would not say he's not smart or poor player!! He's one of the greatest player but off course one of the worst person when loses a hand.. the problem about him is that he thinks he can't ever lose a hand...

  • he hasnt won the most in wsop, look it up

  • probly with like 200 entrants in the first 7 lol

  • well said

  • Theres nothing wrong in calling with QJ suited, Phil should have considered raising after the flop to avoid getting hit by a flush or straight.

  • He called a bet on the turn drawing dead then a bet on the river...how is that perfect?

  • theafrodude:

It was about 60% - 40% pre-flop and then about 61% - 39% on the flop with a flush and gut shot strait draw.

Do you know the definition of "perfect"?

Your basically saying that calling each bet was the "perfect play" in that situation above all other options. I think most people would agree that the perfect move was to fold on the turn...it's hard but it would be the "perfect" thing to do.

Why would he slow play with just top pair kickr with a flush and strait draw on board?

  • Comment removed

  • There is no perfect play in poker because there is such a high varity of ways in which you can play a hand and get the best result.

Phil continued to play calling bets on the turn then the river. how is continuing to play a dead hand on the last to streets a perfect play? It's called a mistake but a logical one since Sammy is a loose player. Being Phil he could have used one of his amazing "reads"(psshh) and found out he was beat.

"regardless" the absolute PERFECT thing to do was fold.

  • Comment removed

  • How would it be perfect if you 60% favorite pre flop genius?

  • Comment removed

  • He did the right thing pre flop and the wrong thing post flop.

    Remember your words.

"regardless Phil played it perfectly. "

    you wanna start over?

  • no!

  • That makes no sense without a bet to push Hellmuth off his hand.

Hellmuth acted first and bet, Farha called but did not bet. The only way Hellmuth could fold preflop is if he decided to not play AK.......but with no action before him that is the opposite of a perfect play!?!

  • theafrodude22 go eat a penis u moron

  • dude - that was funny - I thought you were being just a culero but then I read his comment...you were right he's a dumb ass

  • theafrodude, you are a real poker expert. lol. how can phil fold preflop, when he bets 35000 to sammy and sammy calls

  • inferior player sam farha plays in the biggest cash games in the wotld and q j of d. had more draws to hands then ace loser king not suited. sam farha is too smooth for phil helldork

  • i dont think there is anything wrong with callin QJ of diamonds.. hellmuth is just queer and a baby...

  • I could go All-in with QJ suited..

But that ofcource depends on who I play against

  • yeah well playin with hellmuth even in a tournament means - you should play good, very good.

pick ur cards u call and raise him with

  • Comment removed

  • terrible play by phil

  • "YOU KNOW PHIL, THATS CALLED GAMBLING" XD damn i love farha

  • 2003 he was inferiorior compared to hellmuth who won the event like 13 years b4

  • the commentators joke about sammy as INFERIOR only because phil always writes off table players as idiots when he loses. It was a joke

  • bullshit inferior

  • goooo sam

    mister cool :D

  • sammy is an inferior player? hehe no way

  • phil, why would you not bet with top pair and best kicker... why? i know why, because your the best player around and sammy farha is david going against goliath...

    guess what, david beat goliath.

  • i know y phil didnt raise he knew that farha is an aggressive player and phil had postion on him and expecting farha to bluff him.....but phil didnt realized that there are two diamonds on the flop and maybe considering that farha didnt have two diamonds.... so he let farha see the turn and there it is he hit the flush and farha did a great job by betting now he has phil to think that he would not bet with a flush and he could be bluffing because phil check on flop..i hope i answer your question

  • wow. nice reply.

just wondering, do you analyze poker a lot, or think about this alot, or am i just "poker slow" or lack common sense?

  • as a matter of fact i do analyze poker because i play a lot of poker online and in casino.... i dont think you are slow maybe you just need to play a lot more.... the most important thing in poker is you should know what type of player you are playing with so you get a lil information... i know that phil hellmuth loves to play tight and he loves to trap and farha he could play any card which makes him unpredictable and hard to read....:)

  • o haha i have just started to play internet poker (fun money) for abt two months, so basically it is just knowing your opponant? and phil was taking a risk by checking becuase he wanted to checkraise.

  • I started for about 2 months too - the idea is to get into you opponent head and then realise why would they bet/check/call and what reaction they expect from you. If Sammy hit the flush - he would just check in hopes Phil would make a bet. But by betting him it tricks Phil into thinking he doesn't have it and bets either to steal the pot away. Turn bet makes him seem weak so now Phil is confident his hand is the best.

  • Haha good answer. I love checking top pair heads up all day...

  • Sam >>> Phil

  • phil gave sammy a free card and that cost a lot

  • QJ diamonds. I wouldnt hesistate to call.

  • are you kidding me farha inferior??

  • He probably meant inferior tournament player which he is

  • Norm was being sarcastic, dumbass.

  • this was way before farha was a household name... 2003 no1 new who he was and to be real with you he kind of looked like it here... not by how he played but his appearance... if i seen that in 03 i wouldnt ever think farha handled business the way he does... oh quick question is this the year he came in 2nd to moneymaker??

  • well his attitude's not the best but he got 11 bracelet's by doing SOMETHING right

  • I would have so much respect for phil if he didn't cry like a baby all the time. I mean he's a pro he should expect beats like this. if he expects to win every hand than he should quit playing poker cuz its only going to stress him out more.

  • 'phil gets pissed when an inferior player.....' farha is not inferior

  • In Hellmuth's mind, everyone's inferior.
