No! The patches are very important for the AI and gameplay. Without the patches, the speed of the game(days going by) is too slow and the AI just sucks..

There r many tutorials u can find I just add a game feature I havent seen in any tutorial so players may have missed it

With a unit sellected u can hold crtl key and right click any of the areas ur country controls. This is strategic redeployement and it moves the unit fast.

@anno222 If you can look past the occasional moments where you have to spend quite some time organising your huge armies, and you're cool with the fact that it will pummel you to the ground if you don't know how to play, then yes. It's a very good, very realistic game. It does have issues though, and you don't get to see the actual fight. You're just a general who tells his divisions "Go here, take area, don't die.".

If you're not sure if that's for you, give it a chance and see if you like it.

you can only move armies models (you can create the army all by yourself tho, like u decide how many troops, vehicles, AT troops etc.) throughout the map,

the battles are pure text messages, not like in starcraft or something so you only got text messages like "we have won the battle of xx, casualities: xx, enemy's casualities: xx"

Industrial Capacity u mean (so as to be able to build/produce more)? IC just represents the amount of factories u have. To build more factories u just left click on any one of your provinces and u will be able to add more factories to the production queue from there. U can research techs which improve efficiency too. Ur better off building factories out of range from enemy bombers and in areas defended by AA/radar. U can build thes in the same way as you add factories to the queue.

@Intermedve Reality? This game puts you in the shoes of a general at intelligence base looking at a map and thinking about what move to make. This game is much, much more exciting in real life. If it were real life, imagine spending all day in a stuffy command room moving little green/blue/red blocks around and listening to the radio chatter/watching the satellite feed all day. Thats what real life would be.

@Ixtzalit Yea I agree with you as well. That really does take away from the whole strategic aspect of the game, I play harder difficulties so that the AI will be a harder fight due to better stratagem, not because they just become magically better. So I concur.

I love the game, but the ai is very annoying. I mean, it doesnt need to be perfect, it isnt even possible, but they could make it a bit better. In my game soviets are buidling only industry buidlings or some radars and eventually ships and everything they got are infantry and some horses.Brits cant defend their island and americans do nearly nothing.To speak about AIs organisation and strategy isnt even worth.I ve tried to get an AI Editor for HoI 3. But there is only one for HoI2.
