  • i was trying to find some sort of 'funny montage' and was surprised i couldn't! i wanted clips from 'best defense' and 'like father like son' in particular but dang.

  • I think it's that Davy Jones syndrome we American women have. That type of English gentleman is appealing to us.

  • thanks

  • Yeah I miss him. It doesn't really seem like he should be gone.

  • I love you, sweet Dudley Moore. Oh I wish I could of known you, I could of shown you what its all supposed to be about <3

Thanks for posting this doc :)

  • He always made my mood a little brighter .. and his piano playing was wonderful! He is sorely missed....

  • His old house looks like the Dursley's house on Harry Potter!

  • "...his willingness to get inside you."

    Lol

  • It's funny but when I heard that there would soon be a 'remake' of Arthur starring Russell Brand(and I DO like R.B. btw), the only thing I had any desire to see was adorable Dudley in the original. Just watched it for the first time in many years & for me it was indeed JUST AS DELIGHTFUL as if I was seeing it for the FIRST time. I have even less desire to see the remake now. Just simply can't conceive of anyone else in the role of loveable, drunken Arthur Bach nor do I want to. Sure miss him(

  • any hot woman who speaks of dudley only need say '' what attracted me to dudley was his um MONEY" lets be real here.

  • @OralAgreement69 Not quite sure what it is your trying to say here but I think your saying that no attractive woman would find D.M handsome, sexy, whatever ,right? Made me laugh to read this because I remember seeing Arthur when I was about 18 & had a huge crush on D.M. from then on. Also have heard many women comment on how attractive, sexy, charming he was. Men just don't seem to 'GET' what women truly find attractive about any man it seems.Physical appearance is only a part of it for us.

  • I think ANYONE who wants to see the Russel Brandt version of Arthur reeally needs to see this....very heartbreaking...for Dudley let's Boycott that *ugh* remake!!!

  • How I wish I could have had the pleasure of meeting Dudley.

My husband is a gited artist and ex- jockey.

He stands 5 foot 3 inches.

  • @Americant47 Agreed. I hope that his legacy will endure. Dudley Moore is simply one the great ones.

  • Amazingly talented. RIP.

  • Thank you so much for sharing this! I loved Dudley and am glad I was able to enjoy his tremendous comical talents in films like "10" and the "Arthur" movies in crowded theaters filled with people who were laughing so hard they could not breathe! It's so much better than just sitting home with a DVD. The disease he had is terrible! I hope one day a cure is found for it and similar diseases that rob lives in such a horrid way. I pray he is in light, joy and peace, making music for the Lord.

  • My Father Past of PSP Jan 2002... Its a Rare Disease... and Very Sad..

  • I always thought dudley and gene wilder had similer personalitys! Its just somethig i can't explain, just great humane people!

  • 4:32 Couldn't help notice that's mentioned in the Derek and Clive 'Mother' sketch, just as something Dudley comes out with.

  • Dudley Moore was a genius with talent.

He just had it and shared it with the world.

Dudley was a loving person who made the world a better place.

I miss him, but know that he is living on.

When God made Dudley Moore, he broke the mold.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • 5:10 were those folks totally expecting him to show up? Good thing, it's not a crack house or a brothel or anything, though that would be quite amusing!

  • Brogan Lane - "what really attracted me to Dudley was........." his MONEY! Just another gold digger intent on ruination and greed. RIP Dud x x

  • I was a waiter at an event he attended in either 2000 or 2001 here in NYC. It was dreadful to see him in that condition. He smashed glasses, dropped silverware and caused such a disturbance everybody was embarrassed. It was so sad because later that night his waiter told me he kept apologizing to him for making him work so hard. What I saw I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.

  • i love him a thought he was hilarious when i was a kid and cute.

  • What did he die of?

  • PSP - Progressive Supranuclear Palsy - a degernative neurological disease, potentially causing problems with movement, balance, speech etc. as well as changes in mood and personality. I believe Dudley Moore's first noticeable symptom was difficulty moving one of his fingers when playing the piano. He was diagnosed in the late 1990s and died in 2002 from pneumonia, which is often a complication of the later stages of the condition.

  • @frogandpeach1 It's very sad, he was such a optimistic, and lovely man.

  • Dudley - my favourite Essex boy :0)

  • i have a connection to quite a few comedians because my mothere did a lot of film work in the sixties.i knew alec guiness;s grandson very well and he alec guiness is the spirit who opens the book that im writing its quite interesting how it actually started.

  • I was in a film at pinewood studios called super girl as an extra ( an extraterestrial),peter walked past me on the set at lunch time this was my idol i did want to say "oi peter you **** but i didnt.still it does not matter thank you peter, dud for being you, i grew up with your comedy in the sixties and now i am privileged to write a book about my psychic messages from you and your still as humourous in the spirit.I miss you both and love you very much.you *******twits

  • I love you, Dudleeeeyyyy!!! Hope to meet you on the 'other side.'

  • You will!

  • Brogan Lane 2:18 "...and his bank balance."

  • Dudley truly had my heart growing up. He was unbelievably remarkable, I am usually attracted to tall men, but if he walked into the room I would definitely change my mind..

  • @666dam63 whatever

  • He seems like a decent bloke ... but I can't forget a comment by a person who knew him and Peter Cook. He referred to the movie Sid & Nancy, and said Cook was Sid to Dudley's Nancy. So obviously a troubled man, wee Dud.

  • Missing you...God Bless us for having the joy of knowing you!

  • He was utterly brilliant.

  • What a beautiful man.

  • I sorely do miss Dudley,he was one of most marvelous comedians and actors I grew up watching. He is still so missed dearly,R.I.P. to one of the greatest comedy kings,he also had some darn good piano skills.yet i'll never forget him and his comedy will always be great to me.

  • 2.36 and 3.01 is 'Pete and Dud' not 'Derek and Clive'....Shame that...'Derek and Clive' made me fall off my chair laughing the first time I heard it......Splendid!

  • Judging by the state of that guy's pants at 5:35 I'd say this was filmed in and around 1985.

  • Ok documentary all up - but for Derek & Clive fans there's nothing - not even a mention in the whole 6 parts!

  • 2:36 3:01 Derek & Clive followed by a typically masterful observation from Mr Cook.

  • Thanks for posting :)

  • May I also add my thanks to you for posting this? I had the orginal copy on video several years ago, but loaned it to a friend (never to return!)

Many, many thanks for an excellent tribute to a fantastic performer.

  • thank you so dear much for sharing! thank you ever so much!!!! thank you! xoxo

  • Totally agree. Big smile on my face right now!

  • Fantastic, thanks
