  • beautyful! *{}*

  • i love this model actress she is amazing and i like that she doesn't pretend to be stupid like the morning musume and other akb48 bullshit . or even pretend to be straight as she's got a lovely girlfriend / i love her dog Soleil too/

  • これは美しいっ!

    着たくなっちゃった!

  • 十二単やっぱり美しいですねえ

    私も着てみたいです

  • omg if i wore that outfit i would be hurting myself.....alot all the time just by walking!! XDDD but this is a pretty kimono

  • This is costume of the lady-in-waiting of high rank who served the court in the Heian Period(794-1192).

  • omoi desu ne???

  • I enjoyed it. Thank you for posting this.

    I love it(^^♪

  • I wonder how to walk in this dress.

she really looks like a X'mas tree.

  • How dose she stand?0_o

  • very carefully

  • they hadn't nessesary to move.

    aristocrats dress.

  • I wonder how much does such an amount of pure silk weight...

  • Anywhere from 7 to 70 pounds depending on how many layers and if the layers are lined. Some of the winter color schemes weight up to 70 pounds in silk.. We're reproducing the juni hitoe right now for a sewing competition that only has 7 layers at it is still close to 15 pounds of silk.

  • her dress reminds me of Christmas

  • She looks like a masterpiece, but how would she MOVE?

  • those outfits were suppose to show status...high status means that they shouldnt and didnt have to move alot...just sit around

  • @Joneses65 lol no wonder! that looks really heavy! XD

  • @Joneses65 Not true- attendant ladies wore the same amount of layers and were up and about all over the place. Really, making assumptions doesn't help in stemming all the misinformation you know....

  • "Juni hitoe" means "12 layers" but royal juni hitoes could have more than 20 layers!

Since heian women admired long, open and rich black hair they should've done something to her hair in this video :/

  • god i'm lucky that i have a light kimino

i wouldn't want to be a queen back in ancient japan!

  • I had wondered why 12. It makes sense now, since the Japanese are so aware of nature and the changing seasons.

  • Very Beautiful
