Side subject here, but I really can't imagine Watchmen being uploaded to an I-phone or an e-reader, I mean it would somehow IMO destroy the flow of the graphic novel that you get off the printed page, That's just my opinion though.
The music for Dr. Manhattan is extra appropriate, since that musical piece by Clint Mansell (the author of Lux Aeterna) comes in The Fountain when a bald, immortal spaceman, possibly the last of his kind, is travelling in a bubble to a distant star. Another great film.
The music for Nite Owl is from Donnie Darko soundtrack.

Sigh, Everytime I see new footage for the Watchmen movie, it just looks wrong. Like they're trying too hard to be exactly like the graphic novel. I know that sounds weird, but that's just how I feel.
Why are we here? I believe that there is a greater power. There must be. It's a matter of faith. Respond. I want to hear other opinions and why. rorscharh is but my favoriye character has too be Nite Owl 2 Daniel. but yeah i highly recomend the graphic novel to ppl who want to know more bout what is this about situation i did and i can not wait lol
Nice choice from the fountain for manhattan, isn't it Stay With Me from it? Great song, personally I would have used The Last Man, but either one is good for the scene.
If Snyder were a real filmmaker, he'd find pieces of classical music that relate to characters or scenes, and build the scenes' pacing around a finely written piece of music.
See firstshowing-dot-net for my thoughts on the watchmen travesty. Snyder's no filmmaker & he's in over his head.
character.Nice panning of the camera toward relevant segments of the illustrations. The movie official site is worth a look if you haven't seen it already.
Really beautiful video.

**SPOILER ALERT** (REALLY... MAJOR SPOILER)
I heard that in the movie that's coming out, they were going to omit the giant octopus ending... does anyone know? That would really suck
recontranaso 3 years ago
that's probably going to be true. but the movie is already in its post production stage, so there's not anything that we can do to change that.

The music's all from the Donnie Darko soundtrack. but not to discredit... it plays in perfectly
rrobiguy27 3 years ago
It isn't all from that soundtrack. I know for a fact the Dr. Manhattan segment is from The Fountain score.

Great choices of music. If only they went on a little longer...
My greatest fear is that Zack Snyder's just going to throw nine inch nails all over the watchmen soundtrack, carelessly.
I mean, when I read it, it just SCREAMED rock & roll blockbuster? ...didn't it do the same for you....?
Djomigod 3 years ago
I hope there's a balance beetween the musical references provided by the comic book and a good score (which it's being written i believe)
elminino29 3 years ago

Animalpak25 4 years ago
thanks.
For Rorschach, a theme from "The machinist" ost.
For Dr. Manhattan, a theme from "the fountain" ost.
For Nite Owl, a theme from "Donnie Darko" ost, titled "manipulated living"
And for Ozymandias a clip from "Traffic" ost.
