  • I have a Century Raven 50 SE bought it in Aug 05. With any R/C product it takes timeless

effort on checking and rechecking all parts. Going up is optional but coming down is manditory. I had a ball on the swash plate come off and totaled it... including the OS 46. For the life of me I never thought it was Century's fault.. BTW I rebuilt her and is flying again.

  • Can anyone help me out here? I've got this big oozing red rash right on the inside of my thighs just under my crotch. It shows up every time I see something like this happen to rc pilots who piss and moan over a crash. It was only a couple $1000 or more. Just go buy the one you do want and chalk it up to a poor pre-flight. You obviously got the money to waste, and maybe my rash will go away. Hey, just kidding. What a bummer, but such is the nature of rc flying. Better luck next time.

  • call me crazy but everything I get for my helis are examined and put together by myself. If I get a used heli it is broken down first and rebuilt, same with engines, and other parts I get for my helis get rebuild. I have seen alot of helis before that were crap. I have flown alot of brands and I have to say the worst heli was a Quick 50 sized. The alloy parts stripped in the air and the heli pretty much exploded.

  • You can't expect every product/part to be bullet proof and work 100% - everything fails now and again.

  • I have now, and have had many Century helis in the last 10 years, along with helis from almost all other major brands, and I found them all to be very worthy helis...better then most.

Looks to me like it may be your fault and not Century's fault.

#1 - What large R/C heli experience do you fellows have? From what I see there, not too much.

#2 - What kind of stabalization system where you using on that multi-blade head?

#3 - How many flights have you had on the heli?

  • Mind you that Century is a piece of crap. I fly Align and JR. You guys are definitely amateurs and deserve this crash. You guys fly so close to your fuel and equipment. Go home and throw your heli in the garbage and fly the sim. You are a danger to everyone around you.

  • I still own quite a few Century helis but compared to the other RC Helis I own, Century helis are crap. I said it before and yes, I said it again!

  • Easy to get on Youtube and bash Century for your mistakes. Guys like you make it hard for an already delicate industry. From the looks of your operating practices, you are amateurs with a complex 5 blade rotor head. You spool up and take off 1 foot from all your gear, no doubt that's representative of further negligence.

  • So many people using this and yet you blame the company... Bad Workmen always blame their tools.

  • Century's reputation is worsening by the day. Their support is absolutely horrible. They refuse to take the blame for anything. Well, from my experience, anyway. Sorry about the heli, bro.

  • Sorry, How can you blame Century - you built it from a kit did you not? looks to me like it could have been a build problem.

  • Yes, it was built from a kit but the follower that failed came prebuilt from Century.

  • This isn't my heli. This is a friend's heli. Century also tried to blame the failure on the engine. The engine was put to throttle hold before hitting the ground. A few cracks here and there. Nothing really major that can't be fixed. Still, Century's reputation stikes again! I will never buy anything from Century!

  • im sorry for you and your heli. i would cry like a baby if that was my heli
