*BlueThunder247 - Yes, I am a GM Holden engineer. I work in the Interior Trim SMT and was part of the team engineering the doortrims. Camaro is based off the Zeta1 RWD platform and was styled and engineered here in Australia by Holden (with input from North America).

Great Job ..I live in Texas and tell people all the time that the new Camaro was developed in Australia and they think im crazy ..Just like the G-8 and GTO, all Zeta platforms All Holden of Australia..GM yes ..But an Aussie GM..I saw Holden Coming years ago ..I always thought: If GM does not import these Holdens to the U.S.A. they are dumb..When are we going to get the UTE?

@Zkingkaka You're going to have to lobby GM USA hard for that; Holden can't commercially export to America without their approval. However, the next Chevy Caprice is coming your way as a rebadged Holden Caprice police cruiser

As a GM Holden engineer who's working on Camaro - I can honestly tell you that it does NOT sound like that. The vehicle shown in this clip is an early prototype without much refinement. The later models we're currently driving have the real V8 sound to them.
