oh, she was the best ,i grew up glue to her music ,she went thrugh rough life ,god bless her ,i hope she knows theres a lot of people rooting for her ,i hope she finds confort with that.
I believe this is from the concert at the American Music Theatre in Lancaster, PA--I was there, What a fabulous show! Connie delighted everyone in the sold out audience. She always was and still is my favorite artist. Can't wait to see her new show with Dionne Warwick in Vegas in May 2010.
well, she still has "presence"... has a loyal following & people are thrilled to see her live and in person... she is a legend to many...has had a rough life with many demons and was attacked,etc... and has come through it with a will to perform... is she as good as she once was? no...but it's the determination (much like edith piaf) and willingness to get up there and give it all she's got... i commend her for still trying so hard to please her audience...
I adore this woman...One of the most remarkable talents in history. So loves all over the world. Sang music to so many cultures in there language. Such a remarkable voice, damaged my surgeons and incorrect med. care..Though she continues to sing and thrill those of us who have always loved her. You are wonderful Connie. In inspiration too so many in so many ways. Love you, XO Peter Auricchio
Well, I think that in a recording studio, they could cut and paste and make it sound better. I don't know if she has any plans to record again, but I feel her voice sounds good enough to do some new recordings, providing she be allowed to do as many re-takes as she wishes to. The Recording engineers can always edit the takes together.
In the wake of M.Jackson`s death,I read that it was only on stage that he felt really appreciated, and I think that Connie is still performing for something like the same reason. Her fans are fantastically loyal,so if she`s happy, and they are too,it`s harmless, but she`s never again going to sound anything like she did in her heyday.
Believe me,she sounds better here than she did at the London Palladium in 1989!
When in her prime, there wasn`t a singer who could match her power and pitch.
Mistertango, I would like to correct what you said in your comment under your name in the posting of this video. You misunderstood what Connie said in her show that night. She was approached to play Miss Piaf, but her hectic schedule at that time did not allow it, but she was honored that she was asked to do it.
Her voice probably sounds different because camcorder mic not in ideal placement, instead of a pro ENG camera tied into the stage sound system. But he did capture the moment to share with us, THANKS!!!
Thanks for sharing the clip

Connie rocked the house -- period. Everyone seemed to have a great time, including Connie.
So sad that a few people posted negative comments. I Echo BBCHZ's comment "She's 71... Cut some slack!"
I'm all about hearing what people have to say, but once it's said, I'll eventually delete the negative stuff.

71? God bless her. Her singing from the late 1950's and early 1960's was unmatched.
