it's not a japan tradition. it was a tradition of koryu(=corea) entrants's. because, the japanese had not ever had an archeory and a horse until came corean migrants. it seems to be about 1000years ago. by the way, the japan's archeory is not over corean's(the hun) archeory or molgol archeory. it is so big and weak.
It would have been nicer had this video shown more of the martial ART itself. It may not be a Lummox bow, or whatever but the synchrony of firing while on the full gallop is the beauty, not the target being hit.
Oh common. Don't be a KJ. Think of it, if your watching this during some kind of fair. You can't alwas choose where to stand and film the thing, coz there're just too many people around you.

Koreans believe their ancestors created every culture.
And they always say their culture is superior to Japanese one.
Yabusame is a Japanese culture, not a korean culture.

Beautiful - thank you so much for sharing. After reading about the annual yabusame ceremony, I was eager to see some live action clips of it.

Look, I'm not getting paid to put this up and you're not paying to see it, so beggars can't be choosers. Make your own damn video if you like.

First of all, it's not a martial art, it's a form of ceremonial archery. Second, don't be an asshole.
