Autonomous RC car with laser based obstacle detector

Hi Ashishrd, I have just watched about 10 videos from your blogspot! I just started my own 'silenceofdave.blogspot'

I have an idea for you...

put DOTpaterns on walls at car hight, each patern is a location (car has a map of paterns and thier location),

you can TELL autonomous car "go to kitchen" it will search for paterns to find its location e.g. "livingroom",

it will know to look for "hallway",

then it will drive into "kitchen" and stop

How does this sound?
