BTW, if you compare gaborik and gomez's post all-star game stats you'll see that gomez actually gets more points during this "crunch time" than gaborik. Gomez is clutch and better than many of the 'top' centers who inflate their stats in meaningless games.

The Habs sure as hell didn't go far in the playoffs because of Gomez. He did little to contribute to the Habs exciting playoff run this year.

It was pretty much all Halak that the Habs made it so far. If you had put Price in net against the Caps and Pens they would've been knocked out LONG AGO.

Say whatever you want, but unless Gomez improves greatly his contract will always be one of the worst in the NHL and there's NOTHING that habs fans can say that will ever change that.

Gionta is good for 20 goals and ~50 points

Gomez seems to need a linemate he can mesh well with to put up points. He was decent in his first year with the Rangers, but sucked the 2nd. I think he's good for ~60 points

If Markov, Akostitsyn, and Plekanec put up 50+ points again the Habs should be good enough for a playoff spot.
