Just saw the complete series from ep1 to 22. and the end still gets me! *tear*. Scott looks so handsome in his suit! The last lines of the show are incredible. Im so Thankful there is at least one season of this show. Learned so much from it as a kid. 11 Years later still watching it.. still loving it <3

this show is amazing! i found it through looking up stuff that jorgitio vargas jr. has done because i LOVE him! he's pretty much the reason why i started watching and the reason i kept watching. i love his character and his relationship with juliette. they were so cute. but all these characters were great! i hope this show comes on dvd!! im so glad i found it i just wish they would have come out with more seasons.
I went to one of these "wilderness boot camps for troubled teens". I was miserable. If there was a guy like Scott, I would have been more than happy to stay at boot camp forever..

I found this show two days ago and I watched it non stop for a weekend. It is very inspirtantional. It has made be think about my life...and made me realize that I am very lucky that there were some people that were willing to help me when I had problems a few years ago.....

I have not cried through the entire show but now I cried. So sad, yet happy... A bit of a cliche maybe, that "all good all well" ending, but then it wasn't all good and it will probably never be for these kids...
shelby and scott are the most realistic and amazing couple i have seen on tv.
they have their problems both with themselves and between eachother.. but they stayed strong through it all. I love them together..and altho i was waayyy sad when this show ended... i was super happy they ended it together!!!!!

I heard about A.J. Cook being a phenominal actress in this show. I was shocked, the actors, the story line - all of it was amazing. I'm a huge fan of A.J.'s.

It didn't work out with his father. They decided he still needed the Horizon and he helped Scott get a tux for the morp.
But instead of ruining the night with a lot of "boring" stuff about his father, Scott decides to take the opportunity to tell her how he feels. I loved it!
And the moment I feared has come. It took me half a year, but alas, I have finished watching all of the episodes. I just don't know what to type. It's all over, and no more. I'm going to miss these characters.

It's deffinately too bad that this show ended, and I would have to agree that another show with the same kind of plot, such as another school that does the same thing, should be started. After all, it's a great show for teens and even a little bit younger kids. It's just too bad that TV hasn't seen that kids might respond to a show like this... Ofcourse, that's all just my opinion...

Could the ending be any better?! The Sophie and Peter moment at the end was exactly what I waited for the whole series. Too bad they didn't have many moments like this. Awesome show. I used to watch it about 5 years ago and can't remember how the show was called in my country, so I can't find any local friends who share their love for this series in Israel... At least there are people from other countries whom I can share it with.
BTW, why did they cancel it and didn't film another season?
According to Joe Lando, Fox Family didn't pick up the option for a second season, and though they tried to shop it around to other networks, no-one showed any interest. Eventually the actors found other projects, so the opportunity for HG to continue was lost. :-(

I cried at the end, because of what scott said and that the fact that this is the last episode. I just really can't believe it, this show came out when i was 12 and i'm no 19 almost 20 and i have missed this show so bad. it seems like only the good shows go off air and all the silly ones stay on forever. once again DAMN U FOX!

No. It would have continued, but Fox Family didn't renew their option for a second season. The actors were meant to transition off as their characters aged and "graduated", unless they came back as counselors or in some other capacity.

I don't know if the actors knew it was the finale rather than the last eppy, but Joe Lando said that Hayden would be back for guest appearances if it was picked up for a second season. Hayden has said he truly appreciated HG for getting him an agent and getting him exposure, and credits it for his getting the audition for Star Wars.
somehow i missed this series first time 'round and just came across it day before yesterday...once i started watching i got caught up in the angst and the mountains and the beauty and love and tears and just now have made may way to the end. she never tells him in the episodes, he mentions it during the middle of the season. she told him when she first came. i don't remember which episode though.
Actually, Shelby didn't tell Peter when she first came. Her mother brought her to Horizon after she'd run away but Peter didn't know about the abuse until "Exposed", when he guessed it after Shelby's step-father had a heart attack and she didn't want to go home. During the trek up to Dog's Peak, Shelby broke down in front of Scott and the others.

One thing, 22-8 gets about halfway through and then jumps to the beginning so that we miss that scene between Shelby and Juliet after their fight. Again, thanks. It didn't work out with his father. They decided he still needed the Horizon and he helped Scott get a tux for the morp.
But instead of ruining the night with a lot of "boring" stuff about his father, Scott decides to take the opportunity to tell her how he feels. I loved it!

And the moment I feared has come. It took me half a year, but alas, I have finished watching all of the episodes. I just don't know what to type. It's all over, and no more. I'm going to miss these characters.

It's deffinately too bad that this show ended, and I would have to agree that another show with the same kind of plot, such as another school that does the same thing, should be started. After all, it's a great show for teens and even a little bit younger kids. It's just too bad that TV hasn't seen that kids might respond to a show like this... Ofcourse, that's all just my opinion...

How come no one else seems happy or whatever when scott comes back? and where did scott get his tux? you think the others and peter planned this? for shelby?
I would of loved for this show to go on for more seasons!
I would of liked to see how Kat does, and scott(does he come back permanently or was it just for that night?) Didnt Kat want to be a counsellor? ahhh.. why did it have to end!

Could the ending be any better?! The Sophie and Peter moment at the end was exactly what I waited for the whole series. Too bad they didn't have many moments like this. Awesome show. I used to watch it about 5 years ago and can't remember how the show was called in my country, so I can't find any local friends who share their love for this series in Israel... At least there are people from other countries whom I can share it with.
BTW, why did they cancel it and didn't film another season?

According to Joe Lando, Fox Family didn't pick up the option for a second season, and though they tried to shop it around to other networks, no-one showed any interest. Eventually the actors found other projects, so the opportunity for HG to continue was lost. :-(

jediprincess, you are a LEGEND for putting the whole series on here. i watched the whole series from start to finish for the first time on here thanks to you, becuase i dont think it ever aired in australia. what an awesome show, and a beautiful ending, albeit sad becuase there were no more seasons.

man i soooo can't believe it just ENDED here. i watched this show RELIGIOUSLY when they came out. this show is so...moving. and amazing. the characters are so real and Peter....is a HUGE inspiration. honestly.
i miss this show with a passion

I love this show so much!!! I don't think I have ever cried over a TV series as much as I have during this show. I miss it so much. I used to watch it when it was on Fox Family and I can't believe they only had one season of Higher Ground.

I cried at the end, because of what scott said and that the fact that this is the last episode. I just really can't believe it, this show came out when i was 12 and i'm no 19 almost 20 and i have missed this show so bad. it seems like only the good shows go off air and all the silly ones stay on forever. once again DAMN U FOX!

OMG!!!!!!!! i remember watching this show when it was on the foxfamily channel! i loved it sooo much then and i still love it just as much now, or even more! i was really sad when they cut the show because of low ratings....i even went on the web site and petition against it w/ so many other FANS of the show. i'm soo glad the it's been uploaded on to youtube! thanks so much....

No. It would have continued, but Fox Family didn't renew their option for a second season. The actors were meant to transition off as their characters aged and "graduated", unless they came back as counselors or in some other capacity.

well i read somewhere that hayden got offered to do a second season but turned it down for star wars...but i don't know if that's true...?

I don't know if the actors knew it was the finale rather than the last eppy, but Joe Lando said that Hayden would be back for guest appearances if it was picked up for a second season. Hayden has said he truly appreciated HG for getting him an agent and getting him exposure, and credits it for his getting the audition for Star Wars.

somehow i missed this series first time 'round and just came across it day before yesterday...once i started watching i got caught up in the angst and the mountains and the beauty and love and tears and just now have made may way to the end. she never tells him in the episodes, he mentions it during the middle of the season. she told him when she first came. i don't remember which episode though.

Actually, Shelby didn't tell Peter when she first came. Her mother brought her to Horizon after she'd run away but Peter didn't know about the abuse until "Exposed", when he guessed it after Shelby's step-father had a heart attack and she didn't want to go home. During the trek up to Dog's Peak, Shelby broke down in front of Scott and the others.

Thank you so very much for giving us the opportunity to see this wonderful show! It's bizarre that it was cancelled after just one season. One thing, 22-8 gets about halfway through and then jumps to the beginning so that we miss that scene between Shelby and Juliet after their fight. Again, thanks. I'd never get the chance to see this if you hadn't taken the time to put it on YouTube.
