Regardless of "who did what when", given that their relationship involved a great deal of public anguish for their ex-spouses, I think it's in poor taste that in their concerts, Grant sometimes has done a scripted bit about "finding love" and they present themselves as Amy and Vince Happy at Last. It's crass -- and unworthy of such talented people. Like it says on the Dixie Chicks album conver: shut up and sing! Be humble and keep it about the music.

I'm glad Amy found happiness when she remarried; I don't know as much about Vince, but he seems like a nice guy (I've seen him interviewed once or twice). My only criticism is I've noticed this version of the song doesn't sound as good as the radio version, in my opinion.
