  • I was on peritoneal dialysis for about a year until I had a transplant...I was on Hemodialysis first and It made me really sick and out of it...so I switched to peritoneal which was way better for me ..also because I had a fistula put in for hemo and it never worked...and I did not want a graft put in my arm...so therefore went to peritoneal and did it everyday 4 TIMES a day..and I hooked it up everywhere..car while driving, boyfriends house, vacation..etc

  • Love and miss you paul

  • I can not beleive what I am watching, He wears a mask and then allows his dogs to climb all over him, I think he is asking for infection

  • I'm on PD too. I hate walking around with 2L of fluid in my belly all day.

  • Make sure you have giving you heart and soul to THE KING JESUS CHRIST. Repent of your sin and LIVE if not when you die you will go to the lake of hell fire and burn for ever and ever, so please make sure your are CLEAN with GOD'S BLOOD! THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST! You need to get the god out of the house you will get infection this is not to be played with.

  • I agree with you NO PETS should be around a VERY GOOD CHANCE 4 INFECTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • God bless man! Hope everything is going well.

  • You are in my prayer, my husband was on it for eight year, He went to dialysis tjree times a week. He got his kidney for on his birthday. And god came through for him, because the doctor gave up on him. He had a ruff time, lungs collasp and everything, When the doctor gave up on him he got a call from the transplant place, and they said they got a match come into the hospital,Asap, And we think God, if God can do it for him, he can do it for anyone.

  • NEVER DESPAIR.

IT WILL ALL PAY OFF ONE DA.

You are now on my prayer list.

    God bless.

  • not supposed to have dogs around the hooking up though..one of my strict orders

  • I did the Fresenius PD exactly like in the video for 4 years! I LOVED it! I was free during the day til my 4th year when once in awhile I had to do a manual one for 20 min during the day. Usually when you are doing that machine (nightly PD) then you are free during the day.

  • jesus christ, all that work for something i do with no effort and unknowingly.. i feel sooo bad! God have mercy!

  • I recommend Home hemodialyis 5-6 days a week. I remained on home hemo for 5 years and experienced excellent results these include: 1)no food/dring restrictions 2) gradual elimination of EPO and other medications e.g. BP meds, calcium, iron, Calicitriol. 3) a general feeling of good health 4) Blood work going to normal level

  • Check out the 5 Simple Steps to doing PD Successfully or go to our website. This is rather discouraging and it doesn't have to be like this! Organization is the key. However, it is good that you showed this to encourage everyone to take control of your health! Get prescreened for kidney failure! If you have diabetes and/or hypertension, control it as much as possible. I know others who travel all over the USA and go on cruises while doing PD and teenagers who are active and cheerlead, etc.

  • Hi. I spent almost 5yrs on home dialysis and finally got a kidney from my father as i had too many other health problems, so receiving one from anyone else was proving very difficult. I have had my new kdney now for 5 yrs and things have really improved. If it had not of been for home dialysis i would not be here today sending you this comment. So hang in there. Please post a video diary if you do get a new kidney. I wish i had of done it as it will help others. Good luck.

  • Your so brave...I pray that your dialysis will be over soon and you will be fully healed!

  • do u have a tube in your stomach constantly and do u have to watch what you drink?

  • @RikMayallrules yes the tube is always in your stomach...i remember when I first got my tube put it..it was pretty small..it took 2 weeks to heal before I could start using it so i went back to the doctor..the Nurse then attached this other long 10 inch long tube to the small tube..I was so upset I started crying b/c she told me it must ALWAYS stay in..I got over it & realized I was lucky that there is such a thing as Peritoneal dialysis

  • is it painful in the stomach? how long do u sit there for? i want my partner to have this type of dialysis cos hes on home hemo at the mo and is swollen with fluid. is that a problem with you?

  • I have had the catheter (tube) in my stomach for over 2 years now. It hurt the first week that they put the catheter in but I barely notice it at all now. I did have a problem with swelling in my legs a couple of weeks ago but they have returned to normal again. I chose this type of dialysis for the less restricting diet. since I do an exchange everyday (several times a day) I have a little more freedom with my eating and drinking.

  • Cool.

Why do you wear a face mask while setting things up?

  • It it there to keep you from breathing out germs that can contaminate and grow into something worse inside you.

  • Yeah I really feel for you.I have been on dialysis 5 1/2 years. On hemo for 3 2 1/2 on P.D. Although P.d. is rough I am doing better fluid wise THATS IT hang in with it my friend we could have been dead by now.
