YOU DONT need to be a scientist to enjoy this gem (speaking about me of course)Love the theme and series which i have on dvd, totally fantastic! was it really 1981? god time flies .
The modern remake of this movie was just as unimaginative, shallow, and insepid as the generation that flocked the theatres to see it. Bring back the original BBC version. Truly the original unaltered series left a permanent impression on me. As eccentric the theme applied here was, it humbled me, expanded my mind to the vastness of space time, and to the possibilities that we were not truly alone or the masters of "our" so called Universe.
@nanohurtz The movie had many flaws, but it was far from 'unimaginative, shallow, and insipid'. Douglas Adams' screenplay was very well constructed, the overall aesthetic was pretty good (a mixture of sleek cgi to make it fit in today, and old-school puppetry, which is a forgotten art), and the movie got the characters of Zaphod and the Vogons much better than the tv series did. Not to mention Stephen Fry's amazing turn as The Book. And Trillian was slightly less annoying in the movie.
i'm working on the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy. it's the book within the series, not the series about the book. content is based on the books & radio series. anyone who wants to help can send me a message.if three or more people work on the project we can't use personal messages to communicate. it would be far more efficient to use comments on a channel so we all see what is said. we will vote on what to include & i'll put each article in the same document & send a copy to anyone who helps
I want to make this my start up noise so badly!

they should roll it again in the television, so it could be recorded with (slightly) better digital to digital conversion :)

@elJacomo95 I also suggest the original radio series as well - some of the cast from it returned for the TV series.

@elJacomo95 I've got all five of the "trilogy" in one volume, thank you SciFi Book Club!

Anyone who dislikes this should be fed to the Ravenous Bugblatter Beast Of Traal. After being read some poetry, of course.
