Yes, but if Judas BELIEVED he was fulfilling prophecy why would he kill himself? If he's doing the Lord's will, he isn't betraying the Lord. Why would you feel guilty if you knew you were doing the will of God? It doesn't make sense. The suicide says to me that Judas didn't know the intense suffering Jesus would go through as a result of the betrayal. That's why he was remorseful.
If Judas had not turned Jesus in, there possibly wouldn't have been a crucifixion. If that had not happened, then God's plan wouldn't have been fulfilled and sinners would not be able to repent and be saved from eternal damnation. It was God's will. I personally do not believe in the "Gospel of Judas". However, I do believe he had a role ie) turning Jesus over. Because Jesus was meant to die for us, I like to think Jesus forgave his friend. Judas obviously felt so bad after that he killed himself. Jesus would have forgiven him and taken pity on him. but many things we are just not meant to know i will just wait till the next life to find out I guess.

According to non-gnostic texts, i.e. the Bible: The higher powers, Jesus knew exactly what was about to happen. It takes the greedy, treacherous villain of the earlier "popular" gospels and turns him into a selfless, pious hero, 2nd only to Jesus. Also, it says Judas helped free Jesus' soul from the prison of the physical body. That's the same thing as saying murder is a holy act. That's pretty fucked up.
In the synoptic gospels, Jesus is NOT divine. Why would Satan try to tempt a divine being? That story isn't in John.

No one should confuse the Gospel of Judas with the story of Jesus. Judas is not a disciple, but someone who is having a prophetic encounter with Jesus, like John of Patmos. The twelve disciples are not real twelve disciples, but a condemnation of trials the church and the priesthood of God will face. The "gospel" is actually a secret meditation on how to reach higher realms, almost like an early version of the Zohar. The gospel is heavy code, but much is lost. Need a better copy.

It is like saying that we need not understand the human psyche nor history in order to better ourselves and society. If Judas didn't betray Jesus, why do people seem so sure that Jesus would have never been crucified? Maybe, He could've been crucified at another time. It's just that it happened through Judas.

He was given a liquid that anyone who was crucified could take to end it quicker. this liquid took a long time to work however and when he was taken to the cave he was given a purgative as the poison had not killed him yet and was revived. Jesus never died on the cross and was therefore never resurrected

Judas had to carry the burden of being the most hated person in the world and maybe out of depression, he killed himself. He helped fulfilling the prophecy in return, he would be dammed. That's Judas sacrifice to the world. Why can't people accept that?

Yes, but if Judas BELIEVED he was fulfilling prophecy why would he kill himself? If he's doing the Lord's will, he isn't betraying the Lord. Why would you feel guilty if you knew you were doing the will of God? It doesn't make sense. The suicide says to me that Judas didn't know the intense suffering Jesus would go through as a result of the betrayal. That's why he was remorseful.

If Judas had not turned Jesus in, there possibly wouldn't have been a crucifixion. If that had not happened, then God's plan wouldn't have been fulfilled and sinners would not be able to repent and be saved from eternal damnation. It was God's will. We might not always like or understand things that God has planned, but we are meant to serve him. That was the role he intended for Judas.

@robertburridge True Judas was a played pawn, however he did not have to kill himself and further more he still chose to do it, God knew he would way back in Genesis so God made him do nothing he just knew Judas would as his plan comformed to Judas's actions with no actual divine intervention making Juddas do anything.

i think judas went to heaven do to the fact that it was in gods plan for judas to betray jesus. I belive that next to jesus judas had one of the most hardest missions to acomplish and that was to betray jesus and besides jesus god new judas way before he was born and god chosed him to be a diciple just like all of us christians we all have a mission in this life for gods glory

I personally do not believe in the "Gospel of Judas". However, I do believe he had a role ie) turning Jesus over. Because Jesus was meant to die for us, I like to think Jesus forgave his friend. Judas obviously felt so bad after that he killed himself. Jesus would have forgiven him and taken pity on him. but many things we are just not meant to know i will just wait till the next life to find out I guess.
