Patience is the key in poker...Phil is right, that's why he is the 11 bracelet winner. If anyone of you disagree, you better have more career winnings than Phil.

It all depends on the type of table you are at. There is not one solid method of playing poker at every table, the point of poker is to adapt. Don't be set in stone, if you hit the highest pair on the flop then be prepared to fold if an even higher pair comes and you are re-raised. If you just fix your playstyle you might win some cash at one table, but then you'll lose cash to another looser table.

If the table is loose then you want to play tighter to beat their weak hands. If the table is tight mabye it'll pay to play loose and sucker them out of their chips on the river.

And one thing to note online. If the flop reveals two of one suit and you don't have the suit, fold immediately no matter what. 70% of the time you'll lose a massive wad of chips to a flush draw. Even if you hit three of a kind someone is probably gonna call your bet and then get the flush on the turn.
