@KineticMouse I am aiming for the Indie Games Uprising promotion in late August. However the game would have to be complete and submitted by late July, which might not be possible. If I miss the submission date the next Indie Game Uprising will probably be January 2012. On the plus side at least that would allow time for multiplayer and lots of bonus features. Please subscribe if you would like to be kept up to date about this.
I work with birds of prey in the uk and I think the animation is fantastic. It's so good it's almost disturbing! I'm sorry you didn't win. Can you try again in 2011? I'd gladly pay for this, even in this 60% done state, although I'd purchase for pc over 360 if I had a suitable controller. The 360 is great, but doesn't run as high a resolution as the pc. Take care and all the best with the development. Graeme.
The Game looks greats how long do you think it will take to be finished..... anyway can't wait very good graphics looks pretty real to me and i like the look of the swan at the end of this video :)
Thanks; the graphics have actually been improved a fair bit since this video, and are still being improved. Unfortunately I can't give a better date than 'this year', as we are still in the early stages of being evaluated for an XBLA release (by Microsoft).
It took a lot of time and a fair amount of money to make this game, which should have at least 10 hours of gameplay (more if you replay at harder difficulties). Firstly Microsoft don't allow free Xbox games, and secondly most games aren't free because programmers and artists need to make a living somehow.
Thanks! Unfortunately the game is only about 60% complete. I think we would have had a fair chance of winning, if we'd had another three months to complete it.
This looks like so much fun. :> The flapping animation bugs me a little, though. I think it's a bit too fast and doesn't go far enough down.
And since you CLEARLY don't have enough to do, you might consider trying to use the analog triggers to vary from a little "getting to the next thermal" type of flap up to a big, deep takeoff-type flap. :>
The analog triggers do vary the flap power. I'm mostly using max power here to complete the tutorial quickly, but if you pull the triggers less the flapping is slower and shallower. The flap angles and velocities are based on videos of real birds in flight.
Is this also for windows?Other than Xbox360 or ps3?

@webkinzluver2001 I hope to release it on Windows some time after the Xbox 360 version is complete.
