Physics with Mr. Noon: Paper Tower Challenge

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr im confused cuz apparently we have to do this but with 1 paper 1 foot of skinny scotch tape and apperntly 2 ppl got it to 6 ft tall 21yrs ago and i cant figure out how 2 do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!­!!!!!!!

I'm in grade 6 and I have to do something similar but with 1 newspaper and unlimited tape.

we have to do something like this for our science class too. but we only get 1 sheet of printer paper, 1 scissor & 50 cm of tape.. it has to be 120cm high to get an A.. any suggestions?

ugh we have to go something like this in exploring tecnology :| but we get 1 sheet of paper,4 inches of tape and it has to be 53 inches of taller to get an A... im only in 6th grade FFFFFF- XD

@desuth i made one that was 157 cm tall... so about same height as yours, same materials (one sheet, free-standing, 30cm tape) some guy beat my school record by 1 cm! i wanna re-match...

wow i get one sheet of white a pencil (only to mark with) and some tape it has to be over a metter

well in my school the last years ) we held 50,000 grams or about 25 pounds with 2 pieces of paper and a foot of masking tape

I did a paper tower project yesterday out of one sheet of white paper and 50cm of tape in 30 minutes... it was the tallest in the class with 185cm... =]. really fun

omg my. noon thank you! we have to do this challenge in my school tomorrow. and i wanted to research this!!!! u saved me from losing 36 xtra credit points! thank you! no wonder... y haven't i thought of it? triangles! even 3-d modeling shapes even circles r made out of triangles! triangles are very kewl!!!! thanks again! i'm going to try it out now. 5 stars!
