I know this video is fairly old, but I was wondering if you could direct me to a coverage of the Classic Mix^ match on Gravelpit where Enigma abused the Gunslinger to defend? Or a demo if there was no coverage.

I am sorry but some of these just seem like bans because top tier teams only want vanilla.

Like with the Brass Beast and the Righteous Bison.

Also the Vita-Saw was never banned before because that health is actually really important.

Also disappointed in all the scout bans except the sandman. Why ban the soda-popper and not the Crit-a-Cola it makes no sense. There will be another rant comment soon.

Ordinarily I'm of the "no items, Fox only, Final Destination" mentality, but 6v6 TF2 just seems sillier the more I look into it. Gunslinger banned but the insta-reload shotgun remains? Solemn Vow trading 25% uber on hit for seeing health banned?

I've no reason to play this format when Highlander exists.... =/

atomizer is absurd, -10 damage for jumping over a 80 damage rocket, scout can hit you 2~3 times before they hit the ground and there is no fucking way you are shooting them out of the sky with 3 jumps.

The Liberty Launcher and the Atomizer do NOT balance out -- there are 7 other classes in the game, so what do they get to balance out Liberty Launcher and Atomizer? And how all the classes balance those balances?

A couple things:

- Machina is pronounced like "Mock-in-a" because it's a play on a Latin phrase.

- Amputator is part of the Medic set, which grants a little bit of extra self-healing. Vita-Saw maintains some UberCharge after death (like what Bioshock's Vita-Chambers do).

I'm in favor of any weapon that breaks up the same tired 6v6 lineups. If a soda-popper-scout keeps ambushing your medic, maybe you need to roll a heavy to gun him down?

Another good part about the whip being bad, you could whip an engieneer carrying a sentry and getting that to the front line at almost the same speed as any other class. Of course this is only if you have a pretty organized team who can build a lvl 3 sentry in a couple of secconds.

on the widdow maker being not banned, it can really be abused by battle engineers. throw down 1 random mini sentry in an area where your opponent may go, and leave it. just for get it, and stick to choak points. the gun can get very over powered very fast. especially if the sentry dies, you can just throw down another one, and you gain your metal back through melee attacks as well. but i don't have a lot of experience with playing it/against it to say weather it's truly abuseable

@Darkillusioninc Widowmaker + Gunslinger is a strong combo, but it's still not a strong enough to counter soldiers or demos effectively. If they were really scared of the metal gain then they should've just banned the widow maker and left the gunslinger then. Other than that, mini sentries aren't really powerful and just provide support damage. I think it's a good to allows as 5cp for engi with stock is just painful.

Banning all those engi items was good. Short circuit might have been good but i don't have much experience with that.

Jag: The build time decrease is negligible. There are videos proving it.

Frontier justice: Highly situational, especially in a competitive scene. Banned.

I won't watch these matches. Too boring with all these bans. Too bad, the commentating is awesome.

@Tallulah1987 I agree; I actually think the only engineer item that really only needs to be banned is the wrangler and maybe the soho as its downside is negligible, but everything else I see as interesting unlocks that don't break the game.

In view of weapon restrictions, why isnt there consideration in weapon restriction base on team, ex. BLU being the offensive team will only be allow to use certain weapons vice versa?

No, some of them break the game in some sort of way. Example, sandman gives scouts an extreme advantage against everyclass if they actually hit their ball. While they have a minor health deficiency it's not enough to make it balanced. There are some cases where weapons are put out mid-season and it's just not possible to determine their balance with the game.
