Ya know what the sonic makers need to do is, just make SONIC, no talking, no story, keep it like the old version, but not 2D you look at sonic from the size, but it's 3D like little big planet! And for the cutscenes the characters don't talk. You just see Sonic do awesome stuff, like grab the girl and carry her while the place is exploding and shiz! We don't want to hear sonic talk! We want to see Sonic kick some ass and do awesome moves!

You could put the cd in your cd player and listen to the tracks. It was one of my "music" cd's as a teen lol....and even now as an adult I have a ton of videogame ost's in my mp3 players.

PC version is somewhat crappier, it has lower video quality and sometimes lags on 233MHz Pentium II, while original SegaCD/MegaCD runs without problems at 12.5MHz... Maybe because PC lacks all that hardware for sprites and stuff...

SegaCD/MegaCD version is still awesome =D

@ZXRulezzz No point in running the PC version even if you aren't lucky enough to have a Sega CD, because honestly, the SCD version emulates wonderfully, especially on Kega Fusion.

It's like some sort of paradox, that the Fusion runs SCD version on same old P2 withouts any problems while NATIVE (!) PC version works so bad. Same goes for S&K collection... + crap MIDI instead of original YM2612 music...

P.S. Forgot to mention that in PC version you always need to switch display to 256 colors before running the game :[

Now THIS is Sonic. The North American version of this is one of the very best games made to this day. The cut scenes and the semi-depressing tone of the game also show great story potential if Sega would ever get their shit together.

Dangit, I wish this was the Japanese intro purely because I love the music in that version more than in the US version, while this intro is just frikkin' MAGICAL!!! Sonic CD as a game wasn't all that good in my oppinion, gorgeous presentation, but very shallow underneath, the time travelling got really frustrating at times and the boss music is f**king terrifying to me!

Sonic CD will always be my favourite, but for 3D sonics I prefer Adventure 1 over 2. 1 made it seem more of a world, and I loved how the diffrent stories crossed and interacted with eachother.

Even though I got 1 Time Stone(What happened to the Chaos Emeralds?), It was a Fun, and a Scary Game.

but the true strength of the sonic games lies in their abilities as a side-scroller.

the sonic advance games were fun, but without a doubt sonic CD was the most fun I ever had playing a sonic game. the style was just so unique and awesome.

Man. Sonic's awesomeness piqued so early in his lifetime. I seriously hate where the franchise is gone. When I see this video I'm thinking, "Wow, they really knew how to handle their character back then." For god sakes, he's a hero whose entire paradigm is speed, in all of it's guises.
