I qualified this year in connecticut as well. I encourage you to go considering well we need as many fencers there as possible. What weapon do you fence? I'm sure the event will be worth it.

hey, how many games can a person have in a day in a tournament.\?

depends on how far you get. usually you have five bouts in the pools that each last 5 minutes depending on your weapon. Epee tends to be longest, sabre shortest. Your preformance in the pools determines your placement in the direct elimination bracket. You could have 10 more bouts of 10 or 15 mintues each if you make it all the way

You have to qualify for the Junior Olympics. THe Qualifiers competition does cost money on top of the actual event: Junior Olympics.

You have to look up your own section to find out when the quaifiers are.

at the colubmus qualifiers

i qualified by default but now I got my E rating :)

I competed in cadet saber and it costed 15 bucks :[

and the equipment was 600 X[

and the actual jo's are 700 with flying to albuquerque DX

Yes, my name is ashley. I'm new to fencing though. I was the one in the yellow lame.

When i went to the junior olympics i was only fencing for 10 months. but it was a great experience.

Epee (nearly) always goes to time, and sabre competitions are over the fastest. I wonder which one is faster paced? :P

(Unless you mean the actual blade movement, in which case they can all be pretty fast.)

i fence in in asia..so i have to face indonesia, korea, and japan and HKG often...The koreans are the best man.. i hope they make it far in the olypmics this time. but joppich and baldini are my personal faves...oh i fence foil. haha

Yes! I do fence. I fence epee and foil. I've only fenced for about 3 years and well since I started fencing during High school i used to go to PSAL competitions. I actually won a gold medal in one tournament.
