  • I'm from Texas, and I have a cousin who lives in Texas too that roots for the Steelers (The Cowboys arch enemy), the Celtics, and the Chicago Cubs. I agree with you CowboyTd, I don't really understand band wagon fans. Texas has produced many good teams professionally and collegiately, but many texans root for other teams, it's just dumb.

  • I hate lakers but I love Kobe

  • Kobe all day

  • interesting

  • im a laker fan, but i wanted orlando or Boston (mostly because they destroyed us in 08) in the finals just to see who was the better TEAM that year, not just between 2 players.

  • I'm a cowboy fan to, and this is one of the best videos on YouTube, I'm not big on tge cav fan nor laker fans

  • your a true fan man..

  • call me a lebron band wagon best in the game right now!

  • @LeBronRunsCleveland Are you still a fan of him now that he's in Miami??

  • The "bandwagon teams" in hockey are the Penguins and Capitals. But yeah, I hate that stuff too. Celtics are another bandwagon team.

  • i think its funny how u say, "if they weren't good, then you wouldn't be a fan of theirs"... what if u applied that to all aspects of life?? like for instance, was the guy who switched from the candle to the light bulb a bandwagon fan of the bulb? maybe, but rightly so because he saw it was good! whats wrong with liking good things, teams etc... ? i like players, not teams- im only a ravens fan because ray lewis inspires me and hes GOOD, when he leaves- my fanship goes where he does. that bad??

  • I am a Rockets fan and I loved it during the 22 game win streak no one jumped on the Rockets bandwagon. I HATE it when people jump on the Rockets bandwagon. They talked us up when we got Artest but I knew things werent going to go according to plan. They never do with Houston sports. But I'll be the first to tell you this next upcoming season we will find out who the REAL Rockets fans are.

  • cowboytd even though i hate the cowboys and mavs guts i respect you as a fan you stick with your team. im like you with the rockets i despise bandwagon fans.

  • so was i dude! i hate Lebron! i like kobe fine. but I hate the lakers!

  • i understand what ur saying cowboy see me im a die hard celtics fan because i know this team can play with alot of heart mostly (paul pierce)my favorite player. We go through the tough times and still stuck with the team when 2years ago they waz on a -18 losing streak.

and oh p.s i hear tht dallas is getting jordan hill and might let BASS,DAMP,and stack go

  • i'm all with tht.u gotta luv ur team whether they lose or not. I'm an LSU fan and last year they sucked. My whole school started liking the gators just cuz they were good, and i tryin to convince them they LSU was good.tht's why they whooped georgia tech and OU lost

  • sorry for multiple posts, but here is my last comment. I understand what you are saying about the Kobe vs Lebron hype. That can be sickening as far as the media goes, but even if I wasnt a Kobe fan I would still want them two to go at it in the finals. just like I would like to see Magic/Bird... Wilt/Russel ... etc.

I just want to see the best go at each other and the records showed that Cleveland and La were the best, just like last year Celtics, and LA were...

and nice video by the way cheers

  • now if I jumping on a team just because they are good I can understand that, but I believe people can switch teams without being considered a bandwagon fan. The days where players stay with one team are long gone. Nobody is loyal to a franchise in sports, so why should the fans.

Once again I am not saying jump on and off a team because of their wins and loses, but if you see something you like don't be afraid to cheer for them.

  • a few things I feel that you can have a favorite team in sports and you can have players you cheer for. Example I am a Hawks fan and I am a fan of (in order) Marbury and Kobe.

But I am sure my team will change and maybe another player will come in and catch my eye. I don't get what the problem with that is with some people. Let's say a trade goes down that took one of my favorite players to another team or a draft or something. You mean I have to stick with that team? I dont think so.

  • hey i want to know your take on these kinds of situations. i was born and raised in l.a., so im a laker fan. back during the 1997 and 1998 playoffs, i hated the jazz with a passion because they eliminated the lakers in both of those years. so when the finals came, i cheered for the bulls to crush the jazz because of what they did to the lakers. plus they also had jordan. nuff said.

  • very nice video ima bama fan and have been since the day after i was born and now when i c ppl wearing the shirts and flying the flags becuz they are good i get pissed cuz those same ppl a year ago were wearing auburn shirts. These fans are not an never will be true fans. I have been saying this for years. (ban-waggon fans are most of the time kids)

  • Just wait if Lebron leaves the Cavs and goes to the knicks. Like half the Cavs fans will be knicks fans.

  • lived around los angeles my wholee lifee, so i dont really like texas teams..especially the UT - USC nc game. great performance by VY, gotta give him credit.

but the thing is, mutual respectt for you for sticking with texas teams esp cuz u live there..

definitelly hate it when people just jump on bandwagons. someone i know lives in la and loves boston and cleveland. boston since they got ray allen and KG, and cleveland since they got lebron. kinda epitomizes what youre talking about

    great post

  • Amen brother. Those same people were cheering for the Bulls when Jordan beat the Cavs.

  • 1. copy and paste

    2. send this to 2 other videos.

    3. hold your breath for 10 seconds

    4. press refresh twice

    3. LOOK AT YOUR HANDS

  • What I mean is you know how everybody wanted lakers celtics last year they got it this year everyone wanted kobe lebron can't have everything your way

  • Comment removed

  • im not asking for that, im just giving my opinion

  • Thankyou Orlando Magic for ending all of this hype of Kobe vs. Lebron. Im glad the magic won now the media can sort of calm down now. In all honesty the magic were the better team in that series hands down. I kind of want to see the lakers lose because of how much of a media darling they are.

  • another thing worth pointing out is that statistically, a single win or loss in football is 10 times or more greater in value than a win or loss in baseball. compare 161 games to 12-14 for college football, and 16-19 games for pro football. think how easy it is to recall college football games from the past compared to a baseball game in the middle of july 3 years ago....

  • there is a limited amount of passion for baseball because there are so many games.. and then look at football, which has the most passionate fans and fewest amount of games played in a season compared to all the other major sports.... 12-13 football games a season (college, that is). because of its "scarcity," fans do not want to miss a game.

  • So is it a bad thing that I'm a hardcore Mavs fan, but I want to get a Dwight Howard Jersey? He's my 3rd fav player behind Dirk and Nash, I called the Magic to win the Finals even though I was in the Mavs corner. And I live in Florida and hate the Heat, being a Mavs fan. Not to mention, I also want to see Kobe fall on his face lol Don't get me wrong, I've liked Howard since he was drafted, the dude's hilarious, I got his facebook. Is that wrong?

  • cowboytd you say you dont like bandwagon fans, but that is coming from someone who makes mavs videos ONLY during the nba playoffs. you're not a true fan to the mavs or the NBA because i've watched your videos and you say a lot of stuff that is wrong, even about "your" own team the mavs. so just get off the bandwagon and stick to stuff that you actually know like football.

  • I never claimed to be perfect with any of these videos, but if i was a bandwagon fan why would i choose the Mavs? Why not Cleveland, Boston, or LA? and if making videos decides who is a bandwagoner you havent made one, so does that mean you are a bandwagon fan as well?

  • @CowboyTD i love how espn says shit like "why dont they just give lebron the title now" man espn gives no recognition too ne1 but lebron and kobe its sickening.

  • Yeah I'm a Laker fan but I'm not fond of the bandwagon Laker fans. For the record, I was born & raised in LA so I'm not a bandwagon fan. And you don't have to be from LA to be a real Laker fan -- if you've followed them from when you were little and stuck with them when they struggled, then you're a real Laker fan, even if you're from Kansas or wherever.

But I was watch the Lakers play the Nets in NJ earlier this year, and saw all these Laker jerseys in the crowd. A lot had to be bandwagoners

  • Same her im not a band wagon fan but my dad was in the military so we moved alot he's also from ohio but i was born in texas so im a longhorns fan, spurs fan, bengals fan,and redwings fans my dad influenced me in being a fan of cincy and the wings

  • we are all witnesses...

hopefully espn fixes their top 10 shots of ALL TIME list...lmfao

  • cavs are trailing at the half

    58-40.....

  • Love this video dude you are %110 right. I don't really mind bandwagon fans in the big league sports like the NBA NFL. The bandwagon fans I cannot stand though are the ones Ute fans had to deal with. After the Utes beat BYU and it was official that they where playing the tide about %30 of BYU fans came over and they where all like yeah!! Beat Alabama and then when it was over during basketball season they came back to the Huntsman center inbyu blue and hated the U of U thats the fans I hate.

  • oh stupid moment. 100% 30% lol.

  • As a kid, I moved around a lot, generally to places with no major sports team nearby. That's led me to be a fan of the teams that I personally liked since childhood. That means I'm a 49ers fan, a Longhorns fan, and an Oakland A's fan. They're our family teams. I wouldn't say that makes me a bandwagon guy. I thoroughly enjoy the teams and it sucks when we're losing, but I don't stray from team to team. According to your definition though, I am pretty much a bandwagon fan. That's just not true.

  • no, a bandwagon fan is someone who cheers for a team just because they are good.

  • What about when one of your team's players goes to other teams? Do you want that player to do well? I've been a TO fan since he was a 49er and I generally would rather he win than lose. It was odd, but I did want to see him do well as an Eagle, a Cowboy, and now I hope he can help the Bills. I'd still rather he was with the niners, but I want to see him do well.

  • The LeBron vs. Kobe thing is what happens often in this day and age. Which is reason why the NBA will never be as good as NFL in America. The NBA cannot promote teams, like they do superstars. Regardless, if it is because of the given fan base or their lack for trying to do so. It just doesn't happen. Hence, why a great series (maybe the best in the last ten years), like the Pistons and Spurs was so frowned upon.

  • Kobe is the best player in the league"best game closer" as well. Kobe held his end up by getting his team into the NBA finals, Lebron can't say that down 3-2

  • i really do hope that kobe v lebron doesn't happen because every one wants this to happen and it seems like every one on espn and all the other sports channels are talking about the teams that the cavs and the lakers are playing against like their pieces of shit and stand no chance

  • good vid man

  • ESPN is way over-hyping the Kobe vs LeBron match up if they both lose we would still get to see Dwight Howard and Carmelo Anthony and that would be fun to watch too.

  • i wanna see the magic win to piss off the media cuz they piss me off. There all like Lebron hasnt wona title yet wats going on and all that. newsflash- hes only twentyfour give him some time. i mean really media u need to calm down. Also they think lebron kobe matchup would be best for marketing but if the magic win there obviously better and if ur a basketball fan u shud still watch.

  • Sam bradford is gonna win it all

  • lol Dude you basically just called out half the Cowboys Fans on here as being bandwagon fans...

  • in what way, as long as you stick with a team through thick and thin then you are not

  • "as long as you stick with a team through thick and thin then you are not "

Oh....Nevermind, I get what your saying now. It's all good.

  • I think its okay to respect players but not other teams.

  • ok cowboys guy, even michael irvin would enjoy lakers v cavs

KOBE is the best player you damn internet leech

  • you make good points...personally i wouldn't mind seeing the Nuggets or the Magic in the Finals...and I agree that it is disrespectful to the rest of the teams...but when marketing is a business...the NBA is a business and they want to market the matchup that would make them the most money which would be the Cleveland VS LA Lakers

  • I am a mavericks fan, but I love LeBron James. So honestly I will just like whatever team he is on. But the mavs will always be my favorite team.

  • Magic vs Lakers...Lakers win in 6...you know the nba is kinda get cool to watch, The stuff is fixed but yeah its still entertaining.. oh and the Nuggets felt like the refs and the nba was gonna have it the lakers win thats why they sucked in game 6

  • yea exactly man if you think about it did the patriots have these many fans before no until tom brady win super bowls same with the colts. I myself love the rams and not ashame to say it if you want to talk players and history am all for it since true fans like many of you guys out there believe in ur team season after season while the fakes cheer and only say they like the teams that have been hot for the last couple of seasons

  • i wouldn't mind seeing lebron go but i just don't want the lakers to win, nothing against kobe but i can't stand the lakers.but if dwight goes,it'll be entertaining also with him in the finals.and cav/nugget final wouldn't be bad either.

  • REPOST IF YOU WANT THIS TO HAPPEN

    Lebron vs. Kobe

  • i hope the magic don't upset cleveland i dont like LA but i want to see kobe and lebron go at it

  • thats why you're an idiot

  • I hate watching basketball, but I admit that the shot Lebron made 1 sec before the timer beep was amazin

  • TD, I agree with you 100%. It's truly disgusting how people turn their backs on "their team". When players like this come around. I grew up about an hour outside of San Antonio, and I've alwys liked them. If I grew up outside of LA, I would root for the Lakers, but I didn't so I don't. That's how it SHOULD work. Unfortunatley, ESPN swings over alot of people...

  • Anything but lebron/kobe. Magic/Nuggets FTW.

  • Amen to that.

  • ESPN talks bout this matchup in the NBA as much as they drool over USC in college football! its fucking embarrasing to c r media is SO biased and pathetic!

  • No offense, but a Cowboys fan probably shouldn`t be talking about anything being overhyped before it actually happens. The Cowboys have been hyped and overhyped for many years, but haven`t actually done much in past 13 years or so. Just my opinion.

  • overhyped??? haha, more like a punching bag and used to make a soap opera story line, ESPN didnt try to sell the super bowl before it even happend and wanting the cowboys in the big game throughout the season... they just wanted a story and drama, so shut the hell up u dumb bitch... it's 2 different situations, ESPN is driving a KOBE-LEBRON matchup down our throat and it isn't going to happen which is hilarious

  • That maybe true, but im sure hes not a bandwagon fan, nothing to do with him.

  • I dont, i would rather definitely see Nuggets vs. Orlando. But i like both Lebron and Kobe.

  • Cant agree more. Im sick of ESPN and other sports entities falling over themselves to ride Kobe and/or LeBron. Im sick of the commercials. I like both players, I think theyre great, but before the conf finals even started, ppl were acting like the conf finals were just a formality b4 Kobe and LeBron could go at it. I wanted to see it, but not anymore, even tho I originally picked LA in 7 and Cleveland in 5. Almost as annoying as ESPN thinking Brady and Manning are the greatest thing on Earth.

  • I personaly want My Magic to play against LA. I want them to take BOTH Lebron AND Kobe.

  • i think both kobe and lebron deserve to be in the finals , but the rest of the lakers and the cavs dont, they have been pretty much falling back on kobe and lebron to win games for them, Orlando works together as a Team, .. im routing for the lakers CUZ I HATE THE NUGGETS

  • 6:24 Were you describing most Cowboys fans there? I'd be careful talking about bandwaggon fans when you root for one of those dynasty/bandwaggon teams. I know you aren't a bandwaggon fan, but boy oh boy there are a lot cheering right along side with you, and I just wonder if you can take many of them serious knowing that whether they admit it or not, jumped on in the 90's when ya'l were winning. I understand young kids sometimes have no other choice but to root for a winner, but be careful.

  • i just dont want to see the lakers go to the finals.too many damn laker fans around here and i just dont like the lakers period.

  • nice blog.

May want to make an edit 3/4 of the way through

Let's use some examples, Time TeBow, quarterback for the Florida Gators. Now as all of you know I am a current student at Texas

(Time Tebow) Yes, the spellcheck won't get that one.

Great job. Have you been seeing the Hard Knocks series on the NFLN? Its pretty cool

  • i like and respect Le Bron, however its Cleveland, CLEVLAND!!! THEY ARE A JOKE OF A CITY!.........sorry I'm not a fan and I cant cheer them on EVER.

Oh YEAH I remember people jumping on (and off) the Bandwagon because we had Dion here in Dallas. SIGGHHH so many band wagoners so little bullets...

  • I agree with you on the bandwagon fan comments.

You stuck with the Cowboys even during their tough times in 2000, 2001, and 2002. I guarantee you that some Cowboy fans would have jumped off the bandwagon after one of the years.

  • i love lebron james

  • I agree with you on the media preordaining.

That would have been like running commercials on two Super Bowl favoites that don't end up making the Super Bowl at all.

  • As a die hard Denver fan its sick watching all these comercials and bad officiating.

  • If you are a cavaliers fan, and you are not from cleveland, your a bandwagon fan. Thats just stupid.

I follow the heat, im not from miami. I follow the eagles im not from philadelphia. I follow manchester united, im not from manchester. Im from London. IMO it doesnt matter where you are from when supporting sports teams.

  • As much as I hate the Giants, I loved to see Aaron Ross win a Super Bowl ring. I feel the exact same way with Daniel "Boobie" Gibson. I'd love to see him get a Championship with the Cavs...I mean he has come through with every minute he's played. However, I remain a diehard Mav and Cowboys fan...and a Longhorn for life...but that's obvious by now.

  • You got it mixed up a little Cowboy. Some people aren't fans of teams, they are truly fans of players. I for one am a fan of greatness, but i am a patient fan. I don't buy into the hype but I always chear for greatness to emerge (after the rockets are out for the season). Of course I root for Lebron, because he todays greatest potential to see greatness on the court. I want it to happen but I don't force the issue.

  • Cowboytd I kind of agree with you but not all the way. I'm a mavs fan too but we got put out in round 2. Now I'm going for orlando all the way because they have been very impressive thoughout these playoffs.....does that make me a band wagon fan???? No. My team is out so I picked another team to root for because I love basketball and sports in general.

  • no, i do the same thing, but you don't brag to others about that team and tell the they are "your guys"

  • As a DIE HARD Florida Atlantic fan/student its disgusting to see some of my classmates rep Tebow/Gator stuff! There's no doubt in my mind had Tebow been a Seminole or Cane they'd be wearing FSU or UM colors. Its pretty funny that the only Tampa Bay Rays jersey's you see around here are the crisp new design one's which they wore for the first time last season and they just so happen to go to the WS that year. Even a lot of kids down here are backing Lebron & CLE against their home state team!

  • I like to watch other teams just for the pure athleticism. As for the bandwagon fans I could careless. Let the babies have their bottles. Cause I know I stuck thru the bad and the good times. But they do get annoying and make it hard to watch the game.

  • Your sports talk is great TD...good vid

  • i hate frontrunning fans...

  • Kobe and Lebron may be consider the best players in the league. But it's the best teams that win championships.

  • I hope it's Nuggets/Magic as well.

I would rather watch two great teams battle it out than two Michael Jordan wannabes.

  • Yea.. too many bandwagon fans for both teams.

It will be a Nuggets vs Magic finals :P

  • sorry but Denver WILL BE WATCHING THE FINALS FROM THERE COUCHES!

  • I don't understand why people are like this. This happens to me every year around my school. I was born into a Cowboys family so i have been a fan my whole life. At the start of the football season everyone at school is on the fence as to whether they want to cheer for the Cowboys or not. If the Cowboys win their first game the next day there will be 20 people going around saying they are a fan. If the Boys do lose a game then everyone jumps ship on them, but that's ok I know I'm a true fan.

  • What bothers me is when they're being compared constantly to Michael Jordan. Jordan was a once in a few lifetimes experience, a freak of nature.

Some of today's players are good but no where near Jordan's league. That's where the media really rubs me the wrong way.

  • This is the same for me. I'll admit both are amazing players, but until your legacy reads 6(I believe) championships and an humble ending, you are not Jordan

  • LeBron James all da way...Kobez aight

  • finally someone agrees with me

    lebron vs kobe

    this has to happen

    its destiny

  • Kobe v Lebron won't happen.

  • I hate the media, it's disgusting. Hopefully Howard and the Magic put down the one man show going on in the Cavaliers and have Denver pull off the upset.

  • I agree its unbelievable how there hyping Lebron vs Kobe. Its like wouldnt anyone like to Dwight Howard vs Kobe Bryant which I think is better.

  • I want Kobe in the finals cuz I feel bad for him.

He can't find his three championship rings. :(

  • Good vid man!

You make a very good point about bandwagon fans. I am from Texas, currently residing in Colorado, but I am a strong supporter and fan of the Dallas Cowboys.

I understand having respect for players from other teams and those teams themselves, despite remaining loyal to your team, because I do have respect for other teams and players, even if I am strictly a Cowboys fan.

  • I read your article, good stuff TD!

  • a kobe v lebron final would be fantastic. what bothers me is the blatant whoring espn is doing to promote this matchup which is hardly a formality. (lebron plays with too many stiffs)
