  • "Like a P-51 or a Mustang"...isn't that the same thing?

  • @pathyskeeter lol. yes.

  • "Experimental Exhibition" category is not viable in the US. Offer a kit like the Radial Rocket, and then you may have something.

  • I'm so getting one of these. With the FW-190 canopy!

  • That's just sick! I'm sure it's built strong like bull if Yakovlev is building it. Keep it looking like a fighter on the panel and interior. Leave the MFD's for the Cirrus crowd Webbing for seats & steam gauges! Keep it retro! Hardpoints plummed for fuel??? WE NEED A FLY-BY VIDEO!!

  • Bear Aircraft is making the airplane, not Yakovlev.

  • Dude..you need to watch the video again. Skip comes right out and say's the airframe is constructed in Russia by Yakovlev in Orenburg. Final assembly done by Bear Aircraft.

  • Oh didn't hear that, sorry about that man. It's a cool looking airplane, but in no way is it a warbird. It may fly like one, or even feel like one, but to me a warbird is an airplane that has either served in a war, or has served in a military.

  • I think the term is more loosely used with regard to the Bear 360. A P-51 or F-4U induce a bit of insurance panic just rolling the thing out of the hangar. If you want the round sound and partial performance of the real deal without the hear-attack operating costs..I think that's what they are intending.

  • Kind of looks like a tail wheel T-28.

  • I wonder what the price per hour is? What does it handle like? Can you find an A&P locally that will work on it?

It would be neat to see some in flight video.

It does look like a fun plane.
