Boo Greg!! This game was horrible, especially because of its heritage. As a stand alone fps game, the story is horrible, the game mechanics are weird, the multi-player is dumbed down beyond realistic comprehension. You sold out Greg, I'm disappointed.

I HATE that first mission like after the tutorial, it merely made me stop playing the game, I'm glad I didn't stop, this game is awesome once it gets started. however perfect dark 64 is the superiour imo

One important thing it is worth mentioning is that this game doesn't hold your hand like today's FPS games, it's auto aim is very subtle and you have to have good shooting skill to make progress in this game, probably why some people dislike it, noobs

I went back to this game recently after giving it a break for a couple of years and I forgot just how good this game is! It feels a bit different to play than most FPS games out today but qwhen you get used to it it has some great gameplay, music and graphcis. Plus the multiplayer rules. Top game!! New PD plz RARE!!

1. the story (the game isnt a sequel but a prequel which i have been waiting forever for.)

2. joanna is WAY different and her english accent is gone!

I played the demo, it looks fun and I want to get into it but im so spoiled by games where you have a run button. Dark seems like she moves so slow. Very old school style, I wish there was a run button. But I agree with most of the folks here, most people bash the game because a lot of folks did'nt own a 360 then and this was the only worthwhile shooter on the Xbox 360. Now that we have Gears of War 2, Call of Duty and Halo 3 this game is shoved to the side.

this game was so overrated. seriously is anyone still playing it, as compared to Halo? it was no where near as good as the first perfect dark, which was ahead of it's time. w/ the execption of online play, since the n64 didn't support it.

But, like I said there's always people that think a game is overrated, even if it isn't ! If you think that then every game is overrated cause there will always be someone saying it's overrated!

I defend it in the grounds that these days you can find it so cheaply, that it IS worth playing. I mean, 5 bucks? C'mon, everybody should try it for that low of a price.

I think the reason most people bash this game as being overated is the fact that they didn't own an Xbox 360 at launch, back in late 2005 when I first played this game it was awesome, the graphic's were the best I had seen in a long time and the overall multiplayer was a great way to experience what Xbox Live had to offer for years to come.

@jackgordon38 well the reason i initially didn't like the xbox 360, was that i felt they released it early. i mean, if u looked at the latest games for the original xbox just before the release of the 360, they were exceptional (graphics and gameplay wise). i felt that the original xbox had at least two more years of life in it. f.e. w/ doom 3 for xbox, the graphics were outstanding.

At the time, it WAS the only system that could handle Condemned's graphics. Kasavin was a great game reviewer, he just didn't stick around long enough to get a cahnce to review titles on other next-gen platforms.

For some reason I found 3:40 to be sexy when she puts the silencer on. It's with the long painted nails and the bracelets I guess, she's a girly girl that's handy with a gun. Hot. But this game isn't that great compared to Dark 64. It should be pretty cheap now, though, so I may get it when I get a 360, just for the lulz.

what i like about this game is that you shoot the crap out of your enemies and like the guy says the bodies don't(unlike a hell of a lot of gamea) fade away this is the one thing that i get fed up about in games....you shoot someone and the body disappears or it hangs around for a while then it's gone...if you shoot someone you should be able to back track and the body should still be there......i mean this doesn't happen in real life does it !!??

I have the game. Not bad for the price it's available at now. Used, it's only around five bucks, so you can't really go wrong, even if it ends up disappointing you. My opinion is that it was rushed, and could have been a lot better, but hey, some folks really loved it.

My money is on the HD remake of the original PD coming out this winter. But that's just me.

Well, the reason why this review is good is becuase Greg Kasavin is doing it. Man, I miss him. He was the person that actually made Gamespot a decent website. I really wish he didn't leave, but I guess he just wanted to try other things.

Well Greg Kasavin necessarily "worship" the 360 because I've seen other video reviews where he criticizes some 360 games like Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey. I doubt these games aren't the only games he disparaged for the Xbox 360.
