  • This is absolutely beautiful! Your lower register is lovely, my friend. :-)

  • @ladycampion Thank you. Like I said this is the only song I like that is done in my tenor register.

  • This is very beautiful! Already wanted to write that I hear it's your tenor, not CT voice, and saw your comment which confirms it:-). Very good work! Bravo! I'm not sure I could even pronounce such words in Norwegian:-).

  • @serenaluce Had a lot of help with the pronunciation! This is probably the only "tenor" song I have sung that I actually like. This part of my vocal range I am not too crazy about.

  • good Chris, beauty piece, like it, greetings

  • @LordMagros Thank you for coming by to listen.

  • This is still a nice song i love! Well what happen with the songs we did together, liked to hear some again! This one is nice performance of you for surtain cause you sing it in the native language!

  • Thanks. Those songs are on esnips still. They should be there.

    chris

  • Very well done! I really enjoyed that. You've got a great voice.

  • Thank you again...

  • Hi Chris. I play many lyric pieces by E.Grieg. These pieces were written with the great land of Norway in his mind.

Great video and I like your voice very much.

    Dave.

  • Thanks Dave. I appreciate you taking the time to come by and check out my "one" song! LOL. I keep telling myself I should post another but I want to do countertenor arias from here on out.

  • What a lovely voice you have. And such a nice song. A real pleasure to listen to.

  • Thank you very much! This is probably the "only" tenor-like song that I have sung, that I actually like. As you know I am a big countertenor fan. One day I'll get brave enough to post a countertenor song!

    chris...

  • As a huge countertenor fan myself, you cannot possibly imagine how impatient I am to hear your countertenor voice. Even if it's imperfect, who cares? After hearing this, I seriously doubt that it can be bad. You must have a lovely voice. Can't wait to hear more. I wish you all the best in developing the voice type you love so. :)

  • I can send you some examples. Just message me privately with an email address and I'll send you links.

  • I am Norwegian. This is fun to listen to! My stepfather is from England and have lived in Norway for 7 years. Your Norwegian is nearly as good as his:-)

I read something about the pictures. Nature in Norway are very similar, but if you want to se the deep fjords and mountains you have to travel to the south, west. Bergen is a nice city there. The pictures of the bare rock-face are from longer south in Norway. Hope this could help a little!

    Kiri from Trondheim.

  • Thanks Kiri for coming by to listen! I appreciate your kind words!

    chris..

  • Very nice! I'd never heard this song, but it's the kind of song that raises a sense of nostalgia.

  • Thank you very much! You are very kind!

  • Just saying it as it is. It's a bit heavy on the reverb, but rather than detracting from the song, it added an ethereal quality. I always have trouble with the line of not enough and too much.

  • Very astute of you to notice why I did that effect. I was going for that ethereal quality!

  • If seriously, that was not "Fantastic" (just i honestly write my comment, sorry)... This video is just well done and really harmony images and music. Deserved rated 5*, of course. Thank You! Best regards.

  • I guess it all depends on the viewer. Fantastic to one person may not be fantastic to another. Thanks for listening.

  • Fantastic! I was touched by the music .......very beautiful!

  • Thank you! I am sorry for my tardy response.

    chris

  • Oh, I thought you were norwegian! Good work!

  • Maybe a distant paternal ancestor, but I am not sure of that! :-) Thank you very much for your kind words!

    chris

  • hen hau ting:-)

  • Sye sye! :-)

  • Seriously, you'll be doing great! Keep it up!

  • Very nice considering you're not speaking fluent norwegian. And even then, if you were not from the haugesund area, you probably would have had trouble with the dialect/accent.

  • Thanks. I listened to Vamp and tried very hard to get the right sound. My Norwegian friend who helped me made a similar comment about dialect.

  • can i ask, where in Norway these pictures are from? very north or south..It is such a big sublim nature. amasingly beautiful. And a nice song , pleasent to listen to.

  • Gosh I wish I could tell you but I just grabbed random pictures. What ever struck my fancy, so to speak. Sorry I cannot be of any more assistance on the pictures.

Thank you very much on your kind words too!

    chris...

  • It is very much fjords. If you wan't to see Norway make sure to see fjell, dal and fjord in the west and in the north. There you find the traditional Norway. Don't travel Oslo - Trondheim. There are no coast line. Oslo is culture and less nature.

  • very nice! soothing to the soul!

I would love to hear the funny (AKSENT?) ascent of the commentators above speaking English! I need a good laugh!

    Great job!

    Robert

  • Thanks Robert! My Norwegian friend who asked me to sing this said my accent was really good on this. I have a pretty good ear for music and language.

  • særiøst? :S

  • UniqueNOR was stating that the song has too much echo. Maybe so. It is hard sometimes to get a good blend of echo. It is a matter of personal preference. Some folks like it more echo, some less. Thanks for stopping by.

    chris

  • hahahha NICE MAYNE ! keep up homie ;) hahaha

  • Does this mean you like it?

  • its just funny cause i'm from Haugesund and you try to sing another language is just funny;p you try the aksent its good man!

  • Haha! You have a good voice and it sounds so funny when english and americans and stuff try to speak norwegian XD But your actually good at it since this is probably just from reading the text and hearing the song?

  • First thank you very much for coming by. I actually had a Norwegian friend help with the pronunciation and also I listed to the original artist too. I have a fairly good ear for language. I have done songs in Chinese, French, Spanish, Italian, Urdu, can't remember now!

  • Lovely Norway.. and your voice making it awesome.. keep up Chris.
