  • awesome vid

  • Cambodia's such an amazing country. Check out my vid of my trip this year.

  • I had no idea you could get such quality out of an SLR so I did some research, was your gh1 hacked when filming all of this? What are the file sizes like for these sort of videos? How would you compare still images on the gh1 compared to say a 7D or 5D? I'm guessing that the lense would be a contributing factor right?

  • @ThexManxDan @ThexManxDan Yep, it is possible with Dslrs as well as camcorders. The file sizes are large but storage is cheap now a days, so it is not much of a problem. The still images from the GH1 are not comparable to the 7D or 5D but they are better than a point and shoot. Don't get me wrong... they are still good but the 7D or the D5100 blow the stills out of the water in my opinion. I decided to go for the 5100 for now and I am sure I will move on to something else soon! :)

  • @ThexManxDan Oh and lenses aren't as important to video as to stills but yes still important. You can go with stock lenses and shoot amazing footage....

  • @supermojo43 Thanks for the info. Please keep doing what your doing! I'm going to subscribe and expect to see more haha! Where to next may I ask?

  • @ThexManxDan The next trip is to the Philippines just after xmas. I should have some vids up a while after that! Have a happy new year!

  • Wow.. What a video!

Can I ask, was this all shot with rather high end equipment or just yourself, a good handycam and a tripod? I'm dying to know how it all happened behind the scenes.

I bought a Sony hdr-cx700ve hoping to take similar type of footage but I could only dream of putting it together as beautifully as this!

Surely this needs to/has already won an award or two?

  • @ThexManxDan Thanks for the kind words... no professional gear. It was shot with a Panasonic GH1 and a small tripod. Thanks again!

  • nice vid. what's the music?

  • @peteymyster Thanks, it is the soundtrack to the movie Sunshine (which is a fantastic movie)

  • Very nice video!!!! thank you. Now i really sure my next trip going to be Cambodia Laos

  • where was 1:54 filmed at? amazing

  • really nice video

  • Awesome video!!

  • Amazing and SICK videos ! Simply awesome! I love the quality and the images that just jumps right at you. I also love your artistic vision on how it was captured and delicately edited. I know you need a lot of patience and discipline to capture those fast motion images, especially in as a tourist too. Great job. Please check out my videos on Laos when you have time ( though they are not as spectacular as yours ).

  • @alexpho Thanks for watching! I will definitely check them out now...

  • Absolutely amazing. I am visiting there in a few months; it looks wonderful. What a great video.
