One of my favorite movies. The music in this scene is lovely, reminds me of scandinavian folk music in parts with the fiddle.

The opening scenes and music pull at my heartstrings in an inexplicable way. The music seems powerful but sad, a foretaste of what is to come. So much grief, but for what, as Madge says. Movie perfection.
