How many of you folks, when you see that spinning rainbow-trimmed Capitol label, *immediately* think of the Beatles to the exclusion of any other artist? Speaking for myself, no other LP label design provokes quite that kind of Pavlovian response from me.
This inspired the "Butcher Cover" photo. The Beatles were disgusted at Capitol for pulling stunts like mixing up their albums--ie Butchering them up!!!
This is by far the best mix. And I've listened to both the mono and stereo digital remasters. There is just something about the depth of sound (which quite frankly, is also due to American engineers who added an extra layer of reverb) that envelops you and pulls you into the mood of the song. Making Beatles 65 one of my favorite lbums.
@Tdgonline I agree, the reverb really gives this song an ethereal, sublime quality here; I must compare this with one of the Parlophone mixes. I wonder if that's the famous Capitol Studios reverb chamber we're hearing there.
"I'll Be Back" is my favorite Beatles song. I still have my "Beatles '65" record album that I bought and played 46 years ago. "Beatles '65" is my favorite album. Thanks for uploading and your interesting intro.
Beatles '65 Was Released In December, 1964, Shortly After Beatles For Sale Was Released In The U.K., A Hard Day's Night Was Released In The U.S. On June 26, 1964 And A Hard Day's Night Was Released In The U.K. On July 10, 1964.
This is the Beatles LP that introduced me to the Fab Four; although I probably heard their music when they first appeared on Ed Sullivan. This is probably my favorite Beatles LP.
I wouldn't mind hearing more Beatle songs from USA Capitol Lp's! As a record collector though, I am drooling over your shiny paper label (early pressing) of Beatle '65.
My mother has an original US Hard Days Night which I belive has a United Artists labal instead of Capitol since the film was released through United Artists.
@WABCRADIO77 Capitol Records in the US didn't acquire the rights to the "A Hard Day's Night" album until 1980. United Artists' rights to the film and soundtrack album expired in 1979.

Thank you to uproad.
This mono version sounds like UK stereo ver.
(UK mono is non echo)
But fade out is longer than UK stereo ver.

One of my alltime faves! I'd sing along in this comment, but you'd probably get complaints from the others here!

I would love to hear the instrumentals off the red A Hard Day's Night Lp. I had that in mono as a kid but haven't seen a copy since!

That is correct - the red colored LP that I show is "A Hard Days NIght", and it's on United Artists.
