The 1959 version (third scene) has by far the best actors. The scene in which the police breaks through the door while the victims are waiting for their arresting is the most emotional finale in movie history. You can see the tragic of hunted people. They know it's all over, there's no place to hide anymore. They holded out for so long, they showed strength, but hadn't enough time. But there were signs of hope: at the same time the evil Third Reich was already doomed.
first ending was the one i saw when i was in middle school. Brings back memories. Haunted me then, still haunts me now. Such a terrible, tragic situation... not just for Annie but for all the people Hitler oppressed.
I saw Hannah Taylor Gordon's Anne Frank and it was alot better then the BBC Anne Frank movie. I also saw the original it wasn't all that great either. Hannah Taylor Wins hands down.
I really don't like the actress who played Anne in the second clip. This was on around christmas time in 2009, think it was a half an hour episode a night for a week and i only watched the first 2 cos i disliked her so much!! I've been hugely fascinated by anne frank from a really young age and have been to the annexe 4 times, I thought she was a terrible actress and terrible portrayel of Anne.

@aji8ful If I remember correctly, there were quotes on the wall from Anne Franks diary, the book shelf thing that hid them from the Nazi's, there were some videos playing with her father talking about anne's journal... just walking through the house was very depressing. You could feel the darkness of that time period

The 1959 version (third scene) has by far the best actors. The scene in which the police breaks through the door while the victims are waiting for their arresting is the most emotional finale in movie history. You can see the tragic of hunted people. They know it's all over, there's no place to hide anymore. They holded out for so long, they showed strength, but hadn't enough time. But there were signs of hope: at the same time the evil Third Reich was already doomed.

first ending was the one i saw when i was in middle school. Brings back memories. Haunted me then, still haunts me now. Such a terrible, tragic situation... not just for Annie but for all the people Hitler oppressed.

I saw Hannah Taylor Gordon's Anne Frank and it was alot better then the BBC Anne Frank movie. I also saw the original it wasn't all that great either. Hannah Taylor Wins hands down.

I really don't like the actress who played Anne in the second clip. This was on around christmas time in 2009, think it was a half an hour episode a night for a week and i only watched the first 2 cos i disliked her so much!! I've been hugely fascinated by anne frank from a really young age and have been to the annexe 4 times, I thought she was a terrible actress and terrible portrayel of Anne.

I agree with The Diary queen. I watched it when it came on TV and couldn't believe they just snatched Margot's glasses off her face and threw them in the pile and then made them strip and shaved their heads. Anne Frank is in Heaven, along with her family, and the Van Pells and Meip.

The second Anne is not like Anne Frank, it's not real. Would she got away in the bathroom? Sure not. And her diary! What is with er diary?
The third is horrible. The actors didn't looks like her characters! Anne has to hide her diary and not show it all peoples!
The 1st is really the best, that makes me almost cry!

the first one is actually with Millie Perkins, and was made in 1959. The one you're talking about was made in 2001, "Anne Frank: The Whole Story".

The first ending and movie just doesn't appeal to me... yes i have watched it... There is just something about it...
I personally like the second one the best (the whole movie too) brilliant. and the actor playing Anne looks so much looks her too.
The second ending (haven't seen the whole movie) doesn't seem to me how it would happen...
neither the third they seemed to relaxed.
