Chuck Berry is the Father of Rock and Roll. I don't see Elvis influencing anyone that Chuck Berry has.

Chuck is great no doubt- but Presley recorded first ,and mixed Country Hillbilly and Blues a year before Chuck recorded. It was Presley who kicked off the explosion of Rock and Roll more than the other pioneers.

mojo- You are right. and Elvis made it clear many times the influences and musicians that he listened to, from RmB Country and Gospel. Without Louis Jordan, Hank Williams, Wyonie Harris, and many others, there would be no Rock and Roll.

Yeah but some of Elvis songs was from black artist and black artist wasn't really allowed to blossom in Rock like whites. Imagine if black artist was allowed to play their own music without racial regulation.

A real good TV documentary about Chuck Berry, where you can see interview clips with Charles Jr. for three or four times and a lot of other great people. Many kudos to all involved!
