  • 47 year old white dude. This was the shit when i was a kid....loved every minute of it too! lol

  • DEEZ IS FRESH!!!

  • I cant wait for the ghetto to hit bottom. Does that make sense?

  • Hip hop started on the streets with white and black. I was break dancing in the newton zone in canton ohio back in the early 80's. AKA, little chicago

  • Doug E Fresh kinda looks like a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle haha

  • What happened to hip hop? White corporal genocide has and is happening to hip hop culture thru this new trashy dumb downed rap! and when i say "white" i don't mean all whites just the evil control freaks with the money and power and means to diverge ,switch up and polute rap music and hip hop culture as a whole! the last thing they need is for the blk community to be once again conscious and awake thru chants like (fight the power, keep ur head up and it's a white mans world)!

  • @vvyperr7 I think it boils down to one thing: greed. Greed doesn't differentiate between races.. and well, 80% of people buy shitmusic, so what do the companies make? Shitmusic. It's always like that.... Something "underground" pops up that's really good, and the companies just milk it and milk it until it a few years later it's turned into total shit. Not just with hiphop, with techno, metal, you name it.

  • @DutchCourageWhoohoo welll rap is the new rock, it's a multi billion dollar industry! Once rap was origanally blk owned ,but not now we have higher ups who who know shit for music(rap in general) and yes these guys are no minorities who control what the artist says and puts out iin their music they don't think it;s gonna sell then no go, Jay z and micheal jackson said it best "it's all backwards and disorianted the higher up you go the less blk faces you see" That greed and control for ya!

  • when they break down to the beat box part of this song at 5:00 is real good

  • i still bump rap music. currensy, odd future.

  • odd future does there thing. i fucks with them.

  • less than 10 million views. there are a lot of versions for this song on the tube. ya dig. classic.

  • check-- HOW: 'TO: 'RAP

    that-is the name-

    of the book which

    has input from every classic-

dope emcee, to protect the art

    form for future emcees.... brilliant

    book forreal

  • @bripell62

I was there also. Making pocket change as a very young teenage break-dancer on the streets. There has been a mistake made in this world of rap they created. Too late to turn back bro. Learn from mistakes. Ghetto is old & wrong is so many ways,...Positive

  • Keep the faith people,Hip Hop is not dead,it's just wen't underground again, where it belongs.

  • Less thatn 10 million views. What has this world come to.

  • No, You're quite right. Part of my life and never forgotten. X

  • Class tune, now this is music not the crap you get now days

  • (Im 16 keep that in mind :P )Theres a huge diffrence in hip hop today and then..........its more traditional back then and more hardcore nowadays. Its more about dumb things nowadys but get some pretty dam cool beats out of it. Back then it was more traditional but was still kind of corrupted about whos being the best................. So the choice of whos better depends on the person I guess. I like em both.

  • actually, could be the definitive example of why everyone loves hip hop. Alternatives are?

  • if its good, its good. that's why everyone loves Doug and Rick. If they could charge a nickel every time somebody impersonated them, that way lies money :D

  • White corporate interist happened to hip hop! Word!

  • @vvyperr7 if you know ANYTHING about current Hip Hop which you do not .

You would not even have mentioned WHITE stop making THINGS A Black or White thing it's a money Thing .

    IDIOT .

  • Comment removed

  • @emceenazal and i don't listen to that current hip pop, mainstream bullshit! all they do is promote materialistic stupidity!

  • Comment removed

  • @vvyperr7 Again IDIOT Hip Hop Started in a the parks with the dj's handing mics over to anyone who had something to say Grandmaster flassh The message was talking about broken glass and assholes like you pissing all over the place .

  • Stop blaming white people for shit IDIOT that is how ignorant you are in your last comment to me you referred to me as not being a n**** because I am White yes I am not a n**** and only an ignoramis like you refers to a race being N**** Do you know what the word even means The word means what you are

  • Comment removed

  • @emceenazal We don't blame white people in general it's the corporate fucks who now run and controll all music genre's and hip hop and which we know are'nt blks or minorities! That's what i mean! And if you were a real NIGGA or N**** whatever the hell that is, Nigga which i do mean it in the slang brotherhood type sense, you'll know what the fuck i'm talking is some real shit! Just because ur white does'nt make you one of them (But BOY ur sure acting like and thinking like one of them)!

  • im not old enough to remember old school songs but when I compare the music from back then and the rap i grew up with its totally different stuff. i wish rap like this that actually made sense came back no autotune no stupid lyrics and stupid rhymes and long intros with reggae horn, a jail cell closing, saying the name of your label, saying ur name a billion times

  • I was about 16 when this song came out. True Hip Hop. Makes you think back to when life was simple. God I miss this. went to Columbus HS in Bronx. We all got along regardless of race. Good times!

  • even the people not in your "age bracket" concur

  • This shit never ever gets old, and I really really wish that hip hop was still like this today but underground hip hop and artists like B.O.B and Lupe still showing what it means to be a true dope MC's!! • @kevinhagan17 they are the best. But they are recognised by the people who know!

  • this is when hip hop meant something. no cursin, vulgarity, or saggin and it had more of a meaning than the juk thats around today...btw who r the jerks who disliked this classic?

(my favorite part, the song needs more of it)

  • 6 minutes dougie fresh ur on oa oa on oa oa on oa oa oa on

  • I blasted this song in the hallway of my high school and EVERYBODY WENT WILD, so when you say this generation doesn't know real hip-hop, you are sadly mistaken....AND IT DON'T STOP

  • new jack city pop in my head

  • the shit

  • I've had the honor of being a part of hip-hop since it's birth (late 70's early 80's) up until it's death during the mid 90's. To all you new school cats, hip-hop has lost it's true meaning and purpose, and will never be the same. It was never about the money or what type of car you drove, it was based on skills, the only way you were able to get street cred and survive within the 4 elements of hip-hop. It's tracks like this that help to bring back the innocence lost. HIP-HOP (RIP).

  • @HecklinJoe There's still good shit all around.

Hip-Hop never died. It just went back to the underground.

  • @HecklinJoe the "new" stuff you talkin about is called rap anyway, not hiphop, brother. don't trip hip hop's still there.

  • @HecklinJoe .....i feel u.....but i digress a bit.....i think hip-hop lost its essence in the early or maybe even mid 2000s......oh and one more thing i dont think hip hop's dead... its just in a coma..lol

  • @HecklinJoe I'm one of those kids trying to keep it alive, I'm with this company recently making old school style beats and I'm starting to spit to them so some of us are keepin' the hip hop alive bro.

  • @HecklinJoe I couldn't agree more. Never forget the 80s and 90s. But opppps most of them did forget it. Wack ass hip hop nowadays(most of it).

  • @HecklinJoe hahah hip hop died in 2003

  • Good shit. It sucks that the only time you get to hear this anymore is when New Jack City plays on TV.

  • I'm proud t5o be from the old school.

  • 25 people have no taste

  • This was true hip hop...before it got corrupted. Does anyone in my age bracket concur?

  • @jfilesbooks don't know what age bracket ur from, I'm 54 and I concur!!!

  • @jfilesbooks I'm not in anyway in your age bracket but i concur. This was before N.W.A came and butchered Hip-Hop

  • @jfilesbooks depends are u 16?

  • @jfilesbooks

Yes these were the awesome days of early rap

  • @jfilesbooks I bet I'm far from your age bracket, I'm 20yrs old, but I agree 100%. Late 1970's- early 2000's hip hop was the best. The mid 90's was my favorite era of hip hop though. I don't even consider today's stuff hip hop, it's just a bunch of crap and that's all!!

  • @jfilesbooks I think NWA and Two Live Crew are responsible

  • @jfilesbooks

    I concur

Born in 73 up north in ohio. we use to break dance for fun & also money on the streets in the newton zone.
