Hip hop started on the streets with white and black. I was break dancing in the newton zone in canton ohio back in the early 80's. AKA, little chicago
What happened to hip hop? White corporal genocide has and is happening to hip hop culture thru this new trashy dumb downed rap! and when i say "white" i don't mean all whites just the evil control freaks with the money and power and means to diverge ,switch up and polute rap music and hip hop culture as a whole! the last thing they need is for the blk community to be once again conscious and awake thru chants like (fight the power, keep ur head up and it's a white mans world)!
@vvyperr7 I think it boils down to one thing: greed. Greed doesn't differentiate between races.. and well, 80% of people buy shitmusic, so what do the companies make? Shitmusic. It's always like that.... Something "underground" pops up that's really good, and the companies just milk it and milk it until it a few years later it's turned into total shit. Not just with hiphop, with techno, metal, you name it.
@DutchCourageWhoohoo welll rap is the new rock, it's a multi billion dollar industry! Once rap was origanally blk owned ,but not now we have higher ups who who know shit for music(rap in general) and yes these guys are no minorities who control what the artist says and puts out iin their music they don't think it;s gonna sell then no go, Jay z and micheal jackson said it best "it's all backwards and disorianted the higher up you go the less blk faces you see" That greed and control for ya!
I was there also. Making pocket change as a very young teenage break-dancer on the streets. There has been a mistake made in this world of rap they created. Too late to turn back bro. Learn from mistakes. Ghetto is old & wrong is so many ways,...Positive
(Im 16 keep that in mind :P )Theres a huge diffrence in hip hop today and then..........its more traditional back then and more hardcore nowadays. Its more about dumb things nowadys but get some pretty dam cool beats out of it. Back then it was more traditional but was still kind of corrupted about whos being the best................. So the choice of whos better depends on the person I guess. I like em both.

This shit never ever gets old, and I really really wish that hip hop was still like this today but underground hip hop and artists like B.O.B and Lupe still showing what it means to be a true dope MC's!! Dougie Fresh was a genius and so was Slick so u put those two together and you got magic!!!

To all you new school cats, hip-hop has lost it's true meaning and purpose, and will never be the same. It was never about the money or what type of car you drove, it was based on skills, the only way you were able to get street cred and survive within the 4 elements of hip-hop. It's tracks like this that help to bring back the innocence lost. HIP-HOP (RIP).
