So much for 1980s computers being more expensive than modern ones, that ones a fabrication of the truth. Now you just get ripped off for machines, that's one reason to take the junk and repair/rebuild them (free computer that can do all the work and internet, with some older games). P4's for example are considered junk, but that is far from the truth.
I competely disagree there, fomr a hardware point the Spectrum prolly is the worst machine that was around ... which makes it appealing for me _nowadays_. If I had wanted a good computer back then, I'd certainly have gone with a C64/Atari XL or even an Oric
The Speccy had a few advantages over the C64, which had a darker palette with rectangular pixels, not square. Some games were actually better on the Speccy, like Chase HQ or Enduro Racer. Not to mention the C64 cost twice as much. So, some games were better on one machine than the other. It all depended on how well a game was coded, although I've seen far more "lazy" C64 ports than Speccy ports. In the UK at least, more people had a Speccy = more Speccy coders = more dedication.
Why do people upload other peoples videos on youtube?
