I have curly hair that's quite long so I don't think this would work, but when my hair was shorter it looked like yours does... Now what I do with my hair is use curl cream (in in the UK and just use Boots own brand but Trevor Sorbie (no idea if that's in the states) does a good one) when it's towel dried (and I scrunch with the towel, upside down) and scrunch a little, then leave to dry after a little spritz of hairspray! I think you should try it!

I have thick, curly hair that used to be frizzy so I never wore it down or curly. But as I got older I don't if my hair changed or I did but I love wearing my hair down and curly. I hardly ever straighten or blow dry. The natural curl I get it so much better than any thing manufactured or a lot time spent on it :)

Hey brooke, if you put a curl cream in when your hair is soaking wet and leave it to dry natural for the most part then tip your head upside down and blow dry it, I bet it would look good. That's what I do with mine Would love if you tried that and let me know how it turned out lol.

i don't know...but maybe the reason why your hair is so puffy and frizzy is because you scrunch it and blowdry it with the diffusor...i have spaghetti-straight hair, so i don't know anything about curly hair at all, but if you would just blowdry it straight and comb it while doing that would make your hair...at leats less frizzy....or not?! sorry for the comment, but i was just wondering...:)

@HollowThreat1 No you can't brush through curly hair thats the problem, it separates all your curls into single strands of frizz that aren't 'bunched' with each other and makes your hair 10x bigger haha

Just tried this, it actually looks decent on my dark hair. I have super thick, wavy, super layered (Scene whatever haircut) and when it's not straight it doesn't have the style I like (I like messy, kinda punk hair, or my hair really straight) and from all the flyaways from the layers it looks good! I have pretty much the same tyoe of hair you do, and it behaves in the same way.

A life saver product for me is Redken's styling paste (number 06). It's AMAZING. I put it in my hair and when it dries it doesn't get crunchy, but it totally makes it managable. I can go outside and not have my hair fluff up or become mezzy or frizzy.

If you ever try want to leave your hair loose outside, do give it a try :)

Oh...and does that hairspray work for keeping in curls? I have wavy curly hair and I used to use this Lacoupe hair spray (the green bottle) and they dont sell it anymore and it was my FAVOURITE hairspray for when I don't straighten my hair.....is it a tiny bit sticky? Cuz thats how the lacoupe one was and it was perfect

I've never noticed how much you move your head until you had your hair down and it moves with you. It's fascinating. Lol. I loved this because my hair is so large and puffy and I'm super stoked to try it. Spending hours trying to straighten it or make it look decent, which is really difficult because I live in Florida where humidity is at a constant 95%. But, eventually I just got lazy and decided to rock the curly. Whatever you feel comfortable doing of course, but know that your hair looks really nice down.
