@hurmpfff yes they are.To get to Liverpool from Tuam you have to cross Ireland because Tuam is in Galway in the west and England is obviously east of Ireland...so on route to Liverpool,the man crosses Ireland to reach Dublin,the capital and major port...then he sails to Holyhead in Wales,then goes to Liverpool....if you don't understand the song by now...I give up.
