I couldn't find it anywhere, but can one pair more than 2 phones to this thing?
What I mean to say is, let's say there are 3 people, each with their own phones. Each person has access to and drives the same car.
Can the Blueant S4 hold in memory 3 or more device pairing profiles and automatically connect to the device of each person who drives the car(uses the unit)?
I can't see anything about this in the documentation, I only can see things about Multipoint.
@StarFury777 I can't confirm that you can with the S4 in particular, but I can say that most bluetooth units allow you to pair up to 6 devices. With multipoint allowing 2 devices to be actively paired at the same time.
So my guess is yes, you can have all 3 people paired to the device and they will each be able to connect to it as the driver.
This would actually be a very good question to get a confirmation from Blueant about.
@moophoto Ok, well I got a response from BlueAnt. One person there said the device will remember up to 6 bluetooth profiles, and another person there said it will remember up to 4 bluetooth profiles..
Well, I guess it's at least 4. Surprised they don't mention this anywhere in their docs, etc.
@StarFury777 6 seems to be the standard. I'm surprised you got two different answers from them though... But I think you should be fine with your 3. Thanks for the follow up.
@StarFury777 Yeah, well it doesn't say it anywhere, and kinda makes me suspicious that perhaps that functionality does not exist, as it should be a selling point for Blueant and kinda hard to imagine they'd skip on something like that.
I guess one of us will need to call and check it out.
Also interested to know if the Android Google 'Navigation' app will feed the voice drive instructions to the Blueant when in that mode. Have a Motorola Droid Bionic
Thanks for you reply on the Jabra. I see that you have reviewed at least a couple Bluetooth car speakerphones and I was wondering what your suggestion would be. I’m looking for voice dialing which my phone supports and caller announcement by name which my phone also supports. Also I what to leave the speakerphone on and have it ready to use without have to do anything when I get in and out of my car. Pairing two or more phones would be a big plus but not totally necessary. Thanks again
@mrsalty75 Yes, I seek out the best and newest and try them all. You might be interested in visiting my site and looking under the discussion of Jabra Cruiser 2. There is a new unit that I'm testing which is supposed to be released here in the states in late February or March.
